I'm good with whatever. Just tell me who and when to play. Also I am going camping this weekend, and won't have Internet for the ipad. I'll be back Sunday and will take all my turns then.
The push as pull buttons will reorder your commands. So if you queue a command, then a second, and want the original command to actually be second, you can push/pull it and it will move it around the other order. If that makes sense. Queue up some orders and then use the buttons and you'll see what they do.
Ah yeah, that works. I thought it had to be some kind of functionality thing because the buttons definitely aren't there on PC. I guess it's more difficult placing an order on the lines between waypoints with a touchscreen. Now I think about it, I'm not sure the zone focus command is on PC either. Are you guys iPad-only or were you playing before the iOS release? It's bizarre how you can't yet purchase the Red DLC on iOS yet if you have it on PC, it appears on both versions. That confused the crap out of me at first.
Push and Pull change the timing of actions so they aren't tied to waypoints. Select a unit and create a single waypoint far away. Give that waypoint an aim command. With the aim icon selected tap Pull command. You'll see a little green line appear on the route. That line is the new point where your unit will take the aim command. Alternatively, you can just tap on a path line to create the same green line and assign it an action. You won't find those commands on the PC version because a mouse is more precise than a fingertip and they aren't needed. It's on the iPad version for those of use who need help tapping small/thin objects or those that don't want to zoom in just to tap the path line. Hope that helps!
Challenge sent. Hopefully we can get through them tomorrow, otherwise there will be a day or two delay on the outcome.
This I what I get for answering a call after I've already started typing. See if I ever help you again!!! Haha
If you focus on a zone your units will ignore everything outside that box. Extremely useful in avoiding distractions. An example being that you've pinned a unit down in an area with one exit. To leave they MUST enter that zone. The enemy sets up a nearby unit to stand and duck causing your unit to focus on it and letting your intend target escape. However using focus zone means that the distraction is ignored completely. Ignore zone is great for avoiding high risk firefights. A good example is finding an area that has a lot of cover available. Attempting to fire on targets in this area while moving would be certain death. Now you can ignore that high risk zone while keeping the ability to fire on all other targets.
Just had a sweet little two-round victory against the AI. I'm quite proud of the rocket/shotty combo at the end: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
I'd like to say I'm skilled enough to provide tips, but the reality is the RNG Gods just decided to give me a break for once.
Ok, GiHubb won match 1/3. That was an intense match! I had a shotty left, and he had a grenadier and a shotty left. We exceted the turn limit and he won. Gg GiHubb!
Next round is GiHubb v CoryB. Twenty One and I are getting there. Looks like its going to go to a third game
