Aw man,its sad to see this game drop its price..Well I just hope there will be more players and mode 7 will attract a lot of fan base...
Typical as I bought this a few days ago after wanting more after breach and clear. I love it even tho I'm rubbish at it..haha. Apart from b &c and Xcom are there any other good games like this, that you guys would recommend.
I did the exact same, and actually enjoy FS so much more than B&C. There is Humans vs aliens that is like old school Xcom. Older graphics, but looks fun. (I haven't played it yet though)
My friend was dying to pick this up and I told him not to do it. I said to put it on his appshopper list and wait because b&c getting attention will bring a spotlight on fs and mode 7 will drop the price to compete. Hopefully the added sales mean that they will work on their iphone implementation and bringing over the Red DLC. They've hinted at both in the past but seem to be more focused on Frozen Endzone development right now.
The price drop could also be to coincide with the Steam sale, the Complete Pack is selling on there for about $10 (rough guess, it's £6.74 in the UK) which gives you TWO copies of the game, the Red DLC and the soundtrack.
Full tutorial and more options for AI settings when playing skirmishes. AI levels go from 1-4 and you get the option of different play styles (aggro, turtle, etc). You also get the chance to buy the Red DLC which gives you co-op campaign, 15 more missions, 10 more challenges, riot shields, a new mode (upload), 3 gameplay modifiers
Don't feel bad about the price drop. Some PC players paid full price, then it hit the humble bundle I bought the PC version 50% off at $12.50, only to see it hit the humble bundle shortly after.
I ended up getting the bundled package on steam for the Mac for I think $8.50 and decided to but the iPad version as well for the $2.99. Spending to much on games lately but can't pass on a good sale for what I've heard are good games!
The bundle with the Red DLC? If so, I think you can use things like the riot shield in the iOS version once it's tied to your online account.
I haven't heard of a sequel but they're currently working on Frozen Endzone which is the tactical system of Frozen Synapse used to play a game that is similar to American football

I could recommend - battle for wesnoth - great big war game - outwitters All really great strategie games if you ask me. If you only want one go for wesnoth and outwitters which is free to play (iap is only new armies for a very reasonable price).
