Fatigue will, if not dealt with, really start to clog up your deck, and with each turn driving your closer to the game ending frost, when the going gets tough you just don't have time to deal with that fatigue in your hand. Also, once you own the Shelter, realize that you just discard a log to tear up the fatigue, you aren't trashing them (as you did to initially create it).
OK. So I indeed misunderstood the card text. Sounds like it does trash the card from your deck and doesn't just discard it from your hand. Dominion is very careful to distinguish between trashing a card (removing it completely from your pool of cards) and discarding a card from you hand (to be used again when you recycle your deck). The line through "trashed" cards is red, and the line being a different color through the fatigue symbol added to my confusion. Thanks for the response.
I recently played this again when I had some time to kill. This is a really, really well done game. I wish I had more time to play it. I win about two thirds of my games on medium. The secondary objectives have rarely been useful. Still unlocking a lot of things, though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So I picked this up again after the content update. And I'm playing through scenarios again. Is anyone able to complete the Meditator scenario? The one where frost doesn't get you and you just have to travel 50 times? I've tried several times and the app crashes between travel number 30-40... day 100+. I'm playing on an iPad Air. Thanks.
Think it might be a memory problem I have noticed with Frost and Guild of Dungeoneering that sometimes they both crashed (not nowadays, so maybe it has been fixed) after playing for some time. I would guess it would have been a memory problem, but I don't know anything about such stuff. Regardless, another update just came it. Has it fixed your problem? This game is amazing and the dev's continuous output of dlcs with more and more stuff is awesome.
I'll check it again and report back. I'm with you on the amazing-ness of this game. EDIT: Was able to complete it the first time I tried. So the problem seems fixed. Also, should note that I'm on different hardware now. It was originally failing on an iPad Air 1st gen. Now on 12.9 iPad Pro 2nd gen.
Same, never heard of it, thought it was a new release. Looks great so far, deserved more publicity over the past year.
Still one of my absolute favorite games. I love how it takes Dominion like deckbuilding and makes it into a killer solo game.
Frost just keeps getting better and better. For people who like this, absolute musts are: Dream Quest (i just wish they would make a 2 of this lol so amazing), Star Realms, Cthuluh Realms (star realms is decidedly better but this one isn't bad), Ascension, age of rivals, concrete jungle and just today legendary dxp.
Can someone explain the special cards (at the top). There's a "Plant Pot" card. On the left it shows that it gives 1 food. On the right it shows that it needs 1 feed and 2 wood to use the card. Why would I give up 1 food and 2 wood to gain 1 food? I'm sure I'm not understanding this as that makes no sense.
Not exactly It does not work just like that. You are right to think like that. BUT plant pot is a card that is added to your deck, so every time you play the plant pot card you gain a new food card for your deck. This means you slowly start building your "food store". Try going to the collection section and press each card. That might help understand better. One other thing, what is your experience with deckbuilders? There are many different approaches, but one basic thing is trimming your deck to have just your bare necessities and keep drawing them. Frost is a very complex and specific deckbuilder in the way it works. Star realms and ascension are better startimg points where you more easily understand the mechanics.
Adding that card to your deck removes 1 food and 2 wood from your deck. But every time you draw and use that card, you add 1 food to your deck. So the cost is a one time thing, and you get to use the card every time you draw it if you like. So it's an expensive cost up front, but can pay off the more you use it.
Ah, I didn't realize that the high cost is to add it to your deck collection. I don't have much experience with deck builders but I did play Plants vs. Zombies Heroes for a few months. Thanks for the info, maybe I'll finally be able to win a match.
Hey, anyone know jerome's email? Wanted to shot him up with an idea, but i cannot find him or the company's mail, only their twitter, and i don't use that.
Anyone else have a messed up icon on their phone for this game that doesn't look like it's completed? I'm not sure if it's a device thing or what.
