A sweet Sunday night treat. I'm still feeling spoiled from many other killer games. Gotta buy this. Hope it's as rad as it looks.
Bought and gave it a go. I didn't find a tutorial as such but once in a game if you press on the question mark over on the left it has a written explanation. If you're anything like me than that written explanation won't be good enough the first time around but it will give you some idea. From there you can just start trying to play and slowly take it in. It actually ends up being, in my opinion a blend of solitaire and deck building. On the macro level of the game you just don't want to let the timer up in the top left run down to zero, you achieve this by satisfying the location(?) requirement and "travelling" to the next location. If you keep ending your turn while on that location the clock will count down for each turn that you end. You reset your hand when you end turn. On the micro level, you are trying to gather "resources" to satisfy the location requirement but also to build up your deck for the future. It's a nifty little game. I'm a little surprised some people have had like 30 hours gameplay on this. I'm surprised it can occupy your mind for that long. Though I will certainly be giving it some good time, and don't regret the buy at all. It's a solitaire deck builder in my opinion and so far in my limited play through its a welcome addition to my device.
So there is. I missed that somehow. Well there you go, I even found the in game description text to be almost good enough, so I'd imagine a tutorial will make it much easier.
Ah yeah Frost looks really cool. I'm going to check this out for sure. Gave me some good ideas for one of my ongoing game designs.
Frost (Survival card game by Jerome Bodin) Hm, intrigued! So, what are we looking at? Does it have an end? Random generated like dream quest? Saves in game? Just curious. Edit: this (https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1603902/review-frost-solo-deck-building-pc-game-steam) answers two out of three of the questions So, does this save anywhere in the game so you can come back to it at any point in time? Just grabbed it up Man this past week has been expensive but quality games in return so can't complain too much
I'm put-off by the very amateur-looking art and UI. It stopped me from enjoying Sentinels of the Multiverse and this is a step down from that... I know gameplay should take precedence but when it comes to card games I find theme implementation to be very important. Here's another good example: I love Star Realms I strongly dislike Cthulhu Realms And I love H.P. Lovecraft and they're basically the same game!
I get exactly what you mean but it is a deliberate design choice here and works with the game. I'd suggest looking at some video to see if you can get past that aspect.
The dev hired an artist and everything, so this isn't simply another case of dev, with no real artistic ability, saving some cash by doing the art himself.
LG, since you've played it, does is save everywhere? Meaning, if the app dies, can we restart from where we were? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am loving this game Did the tutorial played a couple times The art is nice to me and I just like how it plays out Good stuff loll forward to playing it more tonight
I love how the game starts off simple, and not even to say easy, but just a small handful of cards, but as you play more and more games, more interesting Idea Cards are unlocked (winning games will get there quicker, but even after several losses, cards will get unlocked) as well as truly annoying Events for you to deal with in future games. Regardless of the difficulty you choose, they all use the same database of unlocked cards, you just don't have to do as much in Easy to score a win.
