Looks like the game's finally updated, so I can finally see what it looks like WITHOUT the "Holiday Theme." Not entirely sure exactly what the new Chimera tower DOES. Sometimes it seems to launch a single fireball near the back of the stage, other times it generates a whirlwind that slowly goes across the entirety of the stage. Don't really have enough of a nest egg to get it to high enough levels to do appreciable damage yet.
Yea I'm not sure exactly what it does either. Sometimes it's just a fireball attack then all of a sudden there's the tornado attack. I'd love to know. Billy
Well it's a chimera so it probably does both with maybe a third attack possible? Seems nifty, with an element of RNG added to a game that could probably use some. Hard to tell how effective it is, but the tornado attack is pretty sweet when you add in the stun-juggle.
So, I've made it to level 131 and I'm pretty much ready to stop playing. The battles give next to no gold but take ages. For level 130, I had to spend 5 gems on re-healths and instant skills just to stay alive (air waves + boss that flies for the last bit of health). The new tower seems exorbitantly expensive and no one has said it's that useful. The new heroes seem worse than the old ones. The most useful heroes are Momo and Santa (these two and Phoenix are seriously 99% of my defense). I would like to see a hero that targets or blocks air (more than the pet bird of the new hero) or has a very high damage output towards bosses. Also, an encyclopedia of enemies and towers would be nice. Otherwise, lower costs for the high level tower upgrades or higher gold earned in battles >130 is necessary for me to continue playing. is it the same developer of Kingdom rush frontier? the concept and images remind me of Kingdom rush frontier which was my first paid game in my life LOL
131 just sucks. I have insane towers and resources and it was still a giant PITA. Agreed on gold drops. i got far more earlier on than I did for some of these later ones. Not being able to go back to earlier stages means you can get stuck on a really hard stage with crappy gold drops and essentially be screwed.

I'm not stuck on 131 myself, I just remember it sucking. Honestly the bigger issue is not being able to go back to prior levels, and getting stuck in a loop of farming crap gold from a hard level you can only get a few waves into. Progression slows down too of course, but that might be intended.
Request I too wish there was a way to replay old levels. I tend to save up my skills and auto battles and then after I get some saved up I make a big push to get past my current level to increase the gold I get from the wheel and ads, but then I am stuck being unable to get much gold from the fights as they just wipe me out after a few waves. It takes a long time to get the gold to upgrade anything this way as you can't go back to work on your tactics or power and instead are forced to fight the toughest foes for little gold and level failures over and over.
Dunno. Played half a dozen and got bored, honestly. The difficulty keeps ramping up and it's manageable, BUT I don't want to keep advancing by putting money into potentially useless towers (chimera) and then hitting that wall again with no way to go back. Honestly I enjoyed the game more before I updated, when I could idle it and beat lvl 100 for money and gems.
Played some more. Got to 144. Could push further but it's kinda absurd how I have to win with Santa stuns and castle heals when my towers are so over leveled and heroes are decent. Good luck winning without Santa, unless one of the new heroes also damages and stuns the screen. Tower levels for reference: Phoenix: 132 Twins: 121 Chimera: 84 Mage: 100 Archer: 76 Everything else: 55 Costs 1mil to upgrade Phoenix at this point. Good luck doing that legit. (Results in 1.5% dmg increase)
The chimera tower can make a fight easy if your very very lucky. Earlier today I had the good fortune to get many of wind attacks and it had them such that I had one on the screen for the entire boss battle, which made it easy as they were not able to reach m castle, but after that I didn't see any for what seemed like ages. Seams to be all down to luck as to if you will win or lose when using the chimera tower, but when your lucky it is a great tower.
The game definitely needs more balancing. It would be nice to go back to previous levels to get gold instead of being beaten over and over and over. There needs to be a + button between the 2nd and 3rd heroes so when you press it both Heroes are used simultaneously. They could make this a one time purchase with gems or a single in app purchase. It's simply too much to have keep going back and forth between all the heroes. It's just tiring and then I get beaten over and over and over and over and over. They've had time to adjust this and they haven't. I haven't made a single purchase because it's just too much tapping. There's no offline earning. The game needs more balancing. I really do like Santa and the chimera. And I like the daily reward and the spin wheel. Billy
Use three fingers. I use the three middle fingers of one hand and attack with all three heroes at the same time. You can double or triple up on a single guy too to make him increase his bar reaaaally fast, as well. Just gotta be careful to not accidentally click the powers button. Edit: I agree with your post tho, obviously.
I'm partially disabled. It's very difficult for me to do so. I have autonomic and peripheral neuropathy. I can use my two thumbs ok. But sometimes I can't feel all my fingers so it's hard to use all three. Billy
Devs, Is there anyway to convince you to increase the amount of gems given with purchases? The amount you guys have set for upgrading everything is simply so high compared to the cost and amount of gems given. Even with the half price when you hit certain levels it's a lot. I say give it a test and see if you make more money? To everyone else, Has anyone tried Ryan? Holy crap he's ass kicking! I just beat level 100 and unlocked him. His special skill is freaken awesome. So now I'm going to use Santa, Ethan, and Ryan. Ryan can have multiple attack drones going at the sametime and they regenerate quickly if you tap him and they attack ground and air targets! Plus Ryan blocks enemies like Santa does. I was thinking of switching out Ethan with momo for the statue but Ethan's death ball really does a lot of destruction. I don't know. What do you guys/gals think? Billy
Been using Ryan, momo, and Santa. Ryan and Santa are both solid. Not sure on third slot either. The block from momo is nice but I haven't tried Ethan. Is his damage better than Santa? Honestly with Santa the block probably isn't needed so if Ethan really does that much I might try him.
Ryan's death ball moves slowly and does a crap ton of damage until contact is lost. It's really awesome. I need to put some gems into his skill so it requires less taps to regenerate. I've been on wave 10 and activate the death ball and it will kill the boss. Billy
