Wow, I think I will have to drop out from the race! Days ago, I made this vector from a photograph I found, but I think now my drawing is considered "derivative work" and can't be used without permission from the dude. When I decided to submit it, I began to wonder where that picture came from, so I found the guy that took it, his website says he's a painter and photographer and sells books. I asked Google "dear Google, is it ok to make a drawing from a photograph?" and it showed me "derivative works law" ,So this will probably be kind of problematic to use Since you guys are very famous and the ipad is amazingly popular it wouldn't surprise me he would react bad if he someday saw the drawing. I really don't know understand well how this derivative art law works, I think it would be better to just avoid it completely or if I should ask for permission?, I've always done vectoring for myself and friends never for public stuff. And this being Apple stuff will get very public.... Man, this sucks.

actually, i dont think you're gonna get done since youre not doing this by commission and you're not publishing it. you should be fine. EDIT: although if you do manage to contact the guy, i'm sure you could part with one of the promo codes
