This doesn't work for apps or services that you have to exit and verify the email. I'm referring to apps like...there was a texting app that required an account; another example is Sticher Radio, travel apps, plenty of games as well (especially slot machine/bingo/gambling games). I know on FMA, for example, it will sometimes say you are required to make an account. Or, the game or app might not register as being launched if you don't connect to Facebook or provide an email address.

Just use a common name, sports figure, movie character...whatever. If it isn't totally random, there is a 99% chance a Gmail account exists with the name. The only problem is they are sometimes already used...so enter another one.

  2. So, can we use [email protected] or [email protected]?

Greyskull is a stud afterall, hehe. :p

Does anyone know how to change the "email on account" for AppCasher?

  4. I've never seen a way to change it. Also, their faq thing never has worked, so I got no idea how to email them. They do seem to have a facebook page, so maybe you could try to message them there? Anyone know an customer support email for appcasher?

  6. Wow, you got a big balance on your account. Must be doing a ton of redeeming gcs off of various sites. You can pretty much buy an app a day for a year.

    Cool!

Err...how so? Once a giftcard is redeemed, Apple makes no distinction, as far as I know, regarding payment methods. I know I've gifted w/ cash from gc's. That's how I fund my account. I won't link a CC, because I don't want to accidentally be billed for something or, by mistake, purchase a subscription. I just want a fixed amount in my account that I can keep track of, and the easiest way (I don't bank online) for me is to either run down to the Publix supermarket a quarter mile away and purchase an iTunes card (no sales tax is charged) or buy one online and use the code sent to my email.

Just curious...is this hacked email account a free web-based account, like Gmail, Hotmail, etc?

I had to drop my Gmail account because it might have gotten hacked; even if it wasn't, for years I've getting emails (including bank statements) sent to two other people with my same first initial and last name. Recently, I opened an aol account which I was going to use for spam, and the first time I checked it on my PC Windows Security Essentials detected a virus in an attachment.

OTOH, I've had the same email address with my ISP for about 15 years (well, the company changed once, so I had to get my mail forwarded for about 3 months) and have never had a single problem with it. Go figure.

Gmail yes, wasn't exactly hacked i guess/hope but I got some warning from Google that some US based IP was trying to rape it and Google promptly guided me trough some sequrity steps like changing password and so on. Btw didn't know you could actually combine both a password and your cellphone as a login procedure to gmail. Anyone tried that, do they send a "key" via SMS everytime you want to login?

How does appCasher work? I don't get any credits from Plingm, Bingo Bash, etc, even after using those apps for more than 30 sec.

I haven't tried it, but it should be more secure, IF the number they send via SMS expires after a short period of time.

I had what was considered a secure email account in a previous job, so I can tell you what is is required to have a "secure" account, and by secure I mean DoD (US Department of Defense) accepted security. Before you ask, no, I didn't work for DoD; it's the level of security many large companies require and the standard they use.

I was issued an RSA keychain which generated a random or semi-random string of numbers when I pressed a button. I would do this after connecting to my corporate email account. After connecting to my email account and entering my standard password, which had to be changed every month, I was prompted to enter the number my RSA token provided. I had 30 seconds to enter it; after that, the numeric string on my keychain changed, and I had to log out, log back in, and try again with a new numeric string.

appcasher has gone dry. i didn't get the credits for these either. in the beginning, there were masses of 250-credit apps and now there's absolutely nothing interesting in there, except those 30-credit apps that i don't bother installing at all.
