I'm just worry about the length of this game, actually dont like games that can be finish under an hour, any other thoughts for the ones already play it?
I don't know how anyone could possibly give a shit about the length of the game with how incredible it looks and plays. This thing (much like Monument Valley) is a bloody masterpiece.
metalcasket, it might be a masterpiece, it probably even is, but half an hour? Comparison to Monument Valley is ok considering its length but it was like at least twice that long and cost less. With its current update the content of the game was doubled. Framed was on my "instabuy list" this week but honestly I'm not just sure right now. I played Agent Run and unlocked the full game for 2,69€ even with its resolution issues in current version. I also purchased Flyhunter Origins for another 2,69€ and had a few hours of fun with it already. Of course I purchased already mentioned Monument Valley's Forgotten Shores. I also bought Fantasy Solitaire because of its unique style even though I'm not even planning to play it, just to support the developer. Xcom Enemy Within is a no brainer and I'm going to spend A LOT of time with it. I hope it's pretty clear I'm not some scrooge and I'm trying to support the creators of premium content as much as I can, I'm just expecting something in return. But paying 4,49€ for 30 minutes gameplay just doesn't seem fair. I assume that every stage of the game has just one correct solution, right? It feels there's no replayability. So don't get me wrong if I actually care about the length of the game, it just doesn't feel like a good deal. And considering a vague discussion with just a few comments in this thread it seems I'm not the only one disappointed with the fact this game is just too short for its price.
Oh man! I have waited so long for this! After the huge disappointment of A Sailor's Dream, I needed something to restore my faith in mobile gaming
Thanks, yes I had it also on my wish list, but really I'm always looking for depth games in matter of replay gameplay, so I might pass this one also and give it a chance to other gem games also release this week. This game yes is unique for its original style, but I rather support games that offers gamers not wishing they should had more.
If you stop complaining and buy it they might make enough money to make new levels. This game is so awesome. You can replay levels and try out different tiles just to see what will happen. This game is a major win.
Much more talk about the length of the games than the quality around here lately. Temple Run is free and endless, does it make it a better game than Monument Valley, which is paid and short? Is that your real name?
It's not just here, the length of the games is pretty poor lately. In last years the singleplayer experience pretty much shortens from tens of hours to tens of minutes. If it wasn't a problem nobody would mention it. I started playing games on ZX Spectrum and those days will never come back, unfortunatelly. Anyway, this is not the place for the discussion like this. This is a little bit extreme, isn't it? For example, I hate endless runners, I never played Temple Run or so, I just don't see the point in endless running. Most of other games has leaderboards and achievements, I like to progress through the game, to unlock new locations, to explore and eventually finish it. But what I hate even more than endless runners it's freemium model. That's why I'm trying to support the premium games as much as I can. And believe me, I can appreciate quality. But I'm not accepting the 4,49 asking price in return for 30 minutes of gameplay, sorry. It just doesn't seem right. If it was a demo with subscription option and promise of future content so be it. The similar discussion (or the same mostly) happend here a couple of days ago with the game (which name I can't remember right now). The game will be available on steam later this year I guess with 30 playable characters and approx. 80 bosses if I remember correctly. The game for iOS on the AppStore costs around 2 bucks and has 3 characters and 6 bosses and turns out is just a taste for the main steam release. And it's a dealbreaker for most of the guys. To pay for just a part of what is or was expected. Anyway, as I said previously, it just doesn't seem right to ask 4,49 for 30 minute long game, that's just my opinion.
Hey everyone, Firstly, we just wanted to say we're really glad those of you who have purchased the game are enjoying it, we spent a lot of time making this game as punchy and varied as possible. We also just wanted to chime in really quick to say that the game is much longer than 30 minutes (it takes me longer than that to complete the game without ever getting a single level wrong once). We're not sure where that number came from. I havnt seen in any full playthroughs yet in video form. Is the game shorter than 4-5 hours? Yes, definitely. We very specifically set out to create something that had no-filler whatsoever. Every single level has it's own special scenario and puzzle to overcome, and we're very proud of the quality of what we have produced. The game should come in at around a movie-length, give or take an hour or so depending on how much you're willing to explore each level; and if you're interested in replaying the game to find some of those animations, the option is always there also. Anyway, we hope you all can understand the intentions we had going into making this game. We value your time, and want you to experience each unique situation fully, without any repeated elements. Cheers everyone, we hope you enjoy it. We sure enjoyed making it for you. Loveshack
Thank you for the attention and words, When Games are made with real care and heart, for sure it deserves to be played by everyone..bought.
Just giving it a go now. It's a beautiful thing. Took me a few levels to actually start enjoying it rather than just admiring it for its style but I'm officially hooked.
Best of luck with the game guys, it's fantastic. A well crafted, extremely well designed and thought out experience. I can't wait to see what ye do next.
Bought the game last night and will fire it up later today.. Absolutely love the presentation and look foward to playing
