Nearly all have of closed down as interest in them has dropped one of few that comes to mind thats still going is CSR 2. I do not see Forza lasting seeing there are better racing games already on the mobile. Need For Speed and Asphalt. I understand simplifying things for mobile but Asphalt is way better than this junk. I am not even impressed with the graphics. At least if all a player is going to do is watch, make it nice to look at. Asp Well-Known Member Aug 3, 2017 769 196 43 #6 Asp, May 6, 2020 I’m the only one here impressed with this then. Has to be said, I’m a rubbish mobile driver but can actually win races here. Fantastic graphics and camera angles. The description on the tin does say cinematic racing with the focus on timing and that’s what you get. Could easily have been identical to every other racer, so hats off to Microsoft Corporation for trying something different. Gameplay is lol. Graphics are horrible. I have an 11 Pro and it’s running at maybe half native resolution. What a pile. JasonLL Well-Known Member Feb 21, 2014 546 106 43 Male #8 JasonLL, May 6, 2020 Forza probably has a better chance of keeping mobile gamers interest than many based on the name alone so hopefully they’re able to keep the longevity of a CSR2 but , as we know, there’re no guarantees when it comes to mobile gaming. I’ve been listening to first impressions on YouTube and you’re not alone in feeling this way especially since , from what I’ve heard (not yet played Forza Street), Turn10 was the developer for this mobile game. Many fans were probably expecting them to easily take the f2p racing crown from Asphalt but the devs decided to use the Nintendo strategy of creating a “mobile experience” that complements/supports their actual Forza titles rather than directly compete with themselves which admittedly is something I’ll never understand but that’s usually the go to reasoning. I agree. I actually don’t mind the casual approach and could easily see the pick up and play aspect of this game being really fun. While I would love a full-on Forza Horizon for mobile I don’t mind this route either since there are already quite a few really good actual racing games on the App Store both f2p and premium. This style of game, from what I’ve played, kinda reminds me of the old gameloft title Rival Knights which was all about pressing the screen at the right time and IMO that was really fun for what it was. candyjet Well-Known Member Aug 25, 2010 182 12 18 #9 candyjet, May 6, 2020 Is there no steering involved in this game? Seems to be a lot of fuss over braking/accelerating, or does it get more involved? McDeathUK Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Feb 18, 2015 94 38 18 #10 McDeathUK, May 6, 2020 Strangely enjoyable but game boils down into a pretty digital car collection. Game is holding down accelerate, releasing when you hit a yellow line on a curve, and holding down again when the next yellow line appears. Successful pressing and holding gives you a faster nitro boost for non-curved areas - NO STEERING REQUIRED Energy system means you can play for maybe 10-15 mins before waiting over an hour to play again. Car modding / tuning is just a stats games, story is meh and for some bizarre reason this stupidly easy game has auto play. I can’t see any need to spend money as it’s just not ‘epic’ enough, though I see myself playing for a few more hours. Summary ; looks good, NOT a driving game and considering how many great driving games there are, this is a strange entry for one of the best known XBox driving games ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #11 ramzarules, May 7, 2020 Guys check this out : First 3 events, i was able to win races with 10 pr less than the other car. I log in, get the free 3* ford gt. Enter 4th event, my ford has 20 more pr than the “hard” oponent setting, so i go in expecting an easy win. Nope, i “somehow” lost, never even able to catch up to the weaker car. Also, this was not due to my skill - having played Drift Girls (i miss that game) like crazy, i get most great and some perfect gas/breaks. Promptly went and deleted this. Didn’t help that it looks worse than CSR2 which is the same “one tap race” genre Alex DeLargest likes this. Those first three sets were so easy even with the opponent pr higher and the difficulty in the red that I figured that wall was gonna hit right about when the energy ran out for the first time. Didn’t bother playing longer to check as the graphics and gameplay were already so disappointing. Was hoping for a less abusive Forza-branded clone of Real Racing 3. Instead, we got a worse version of CSR2. ramzarules likes this. ramzarules Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2014 2,112 128 63 Greece #13 ramzarules, May 7, 2020 Yeap, RR3 is the king of racing and unlocking and upgrading and dream car-owning, unfortunately still insanely grindy if you dont want to sell your house, with Grid being the best premium sim racer.
