Hi there! I have FORUMS (appshopper link) on my snipe list. It dropped today from $9,99 to $2,99. Does anyone already own this or is willing to TOFTT?
This looks like sh!t. I'll wait for a proper TA app (someday... maybe?) but I don't do many forums though so this doesn't seem as important to me. At least for 2.99... thats a little rediculous. And it came down from 10? It scares me what people will buy sometimes ahhaahaha
I've been watching this one too. I've only seen a couple reviews (just forum posts really) on this app and they haven't been good. Only 1/4 of the boards or so tried worked with it. I would kill for a good forum browsing app, but I'm afraind this isn't it. Here is there support forum... not much info there though. http://forumsapp.com/forums/
Just saw that you can type in a forum url on their site and see if it works. It says TA appears to work. http://forumsapp.com/validator.php?URL=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.toucharcade.com%2Findex.php If anyone tries it out, make sure to report back. I'm tempted.
The devs of this app seem really devoteD to help anyone with a problem out. I mean they even have a forum set up for support(I know other devs do this too). I don't think this would be that bad of a purchase, I've definitely had worse. But another the thug keeping ne on the fence is the possibility of another price drop..
Well, they held their $10 pricetag for more than three monts, so I doubt that they will drop again so soon... I'm verry tempted, but I already spend too much this week.... EDIT: I asked in their forum whether TA works or not:
Agreed, would really like a forum reader. It would be interesting to see whether they are going to continue development on this, or are they just selling it off cheap ? If I had time to do the code, I'd would write one myself. If you sold it for .59p and it worked with toucharcade, you could probably sell a good number. However I do know that several web browser authors are working on updates to enable their browsers to view and interact with forums without continually zooming in and out.

I toftt! OK, as nobody toftt and I have still some money on my account, I just bought and am currently syncing... Gonna put some initial impressions out soon.
I've tried twice to post using forums, but although there were no error messages, I was obviously not able to do so... to bad This is what I wanted to post: ----------------------- OK. This post is made using forums. What I've seen so far: works with TA (obvious as I'm posting with it) no highlighting of new posts no widescreen support reading of posts is quite easy switching between pages is done by entering the page number. No swipe guesture. ----------------------- Additionally: You can create favourites, but you cannot delete them. I know have four favs for this thread, because I accidentaly hit the favs button. forums starts with the last forum/thread you were in when you closed it no settings/options page
And something more... No grafix or clickable links, or emojis as you can see in the third to last attached picture, my previous post is only visible to the first emoji. There's nothing after that! Current Conclustion: Not worth the asking price of $2,99! Def. not worth the previous asking price of US$ 9,99!!!! Probably worth a dollar.
Darn! I wanted to get this app.. Is it at least good for just forum reading? Thanks for TOFTT. PRICE DROP PLEASE.
Well.... It's OK. The font is big enough, so that you don't have to zoom in and out all the time. I also found out that forums is d/l the later pages automatically when scolling down. You don't have to select the next page all the time The bad thing is, as a landscape mode is missing the titels of the threads are partly not readable.
supposedly theres a new version currently in approval process, which fixes a number of issues, so please share your comments when the update arrives, as i'm defiintely interested in getting this, once it's fixed.
