Looks cool. I'm not into games where I compete against other humans, I always lose.

 

Why would you want gamecenter ?

This game is crossplatform and it uses your Epic Games account across all of them

 

Fair point, I still like the achievements and things but you are right, a game like this doesn’t need it.

 

You get the achievements on your battle pass, they renew them every few months too

And theyre actually quite fun to do, spent the last few nights catching on with them !

 

Ah yes I see, I will mess around with them.. I guess I am so used to seeing the Game Center banner popping up on games that I was worried why it wasn’t showing on this game lol! It is very rare to get a game these days which doesn’t have Game Center included.

I hope they add the statistics to the mobile version soon as they currently show as unavailable. I wonder when they do implement it whether it will record all the progress we have currently made or whether they will start adding up from the point they go live.

 

I have a PC at home.... even if the game runs like crap on it, I could at the very least verify if statistics carry over, ill do that later and let you know.

Statistics technically should already record since the game is cross-play, it should keep track of your record no matter the device used

 

Update : Logged in on my computer, i have "0 games played"

Either the stats are tracked on X platform only, or mobile games are simply not tracked at the moment...

Man it was annoying having to download that huge update, did anyone else find that it took a while to download but then when it got closer to 100% it finished it really quickly?

 

How are the controls? I imagine building is going to be slower and more awkward, and perhaps also running & jumping. Only way I could see mobile being competitive is if the touch screen allows superior aiming?

I don't really play much myself, mostly just watch my son, who is a top 2% kind of player using ps4 -- fair number of solo and squad wins, but the real elites would still spank him. He considers himself a specialist in building, and the speed at which he builds is pretty dizzying. Might be fun to play together if the ipad is decent. If not, well he would boss me around anyway so I guess I'll just skip it lol

 

The controls arent bad, if you have an MFi controller it will eventually be supported, making your iPad not much different than a PS4

It could be that you actually need twice as much room on your phone as the size of the update during the installation process, which is not unusual. Your device is 2/3 full so you'd run out of space if that's the case, but I agree that's not a helpful error message.

 

For me still doesnt work. I sent a request support to Epic Games.

Posting here because Discord is chaos and I’m old.

 

The new patch notes (v3.5) say that while crouching, others won't get the walking indicator. Cool for sneaking up!

Also, for those who encountered the bug where you can't open treasure chests, pick up weapons, close doors, etc (i.e. using the hand icon), I've found a quick fix - just place 3 fingers above your character and afterwards you should be good to go! For me the bug happens when I use the left virtual stick to move while shooting with the left fire button.
