I won't spoil it even under torture...but it's not so trivial as it seems. When you beat it....you will yell WOAH. You have been warned. I know I did...and yeah I spent half an hour trying to figure it out. Absolutely glorious. Aquaria meets Waking Mars meets Another World.
)) This is old school gaming wrapped in a glorious modern coating. So good. And it's just 10 percent!!!
I am on 20% now, great fun, those challenges were you need to lit the black round things into blue are hard but very entertaining.
I'm at 25 percent now (the world is MASSIVE, got lost several times already) but before I lose my sanity over those challenges (found 2 so far)...is there a power that makes you go faster? Because I'm NO WHERE near to reach last 'torch'. What a game anyway. It's 1 am here and I can't put it down...something I'm sure I'll regret tomorrow. Loving the various vistas....had several WOW moments. I wish I could just stop and tweet a screenshot from ingame (hint for the developer). Also I really wish it had iCloud sync...I love playing on iPhone but a lot of details can be appreciated only on the bigger iPad screen.
Damn having trouble lighting up those torches too!!! Got the two powers but don't know how to proceed- entertaining game indeed
All I want to know is am I going the right direction by spending all this time launching my bombs at his head... cause his head is flashing, indicating damage in all the video game lessons in my life...
It's not doing anything. You can get right up into his face and do the light attack with the same result. I agree, it's misleading. I managed to make some progress with him, but then he went all psycho and killed me...twice.
Impulse buy because of many on TA that provide good opinions on a lot of games that I've enjoyed! Now or decide iPad or iPhone?
I started on my iPhone 7 and am at 5% and live the game. So fun. Only issue I have is on timed things I'm still getting used to the controls and it took several tries. While I like a challenge and know it took several tries because of my skill I still get mildly frustrated. I'm a big fan of just exploring and hope to not find more frustrating areas... Beautiful game and can't wait to try on my iPad.
Wow im on the fence here, how's tha mfi control with nimbus?good? I saw dew gameplay video is it just me or the world seems empty?
That's what I thought of when watching video. Pitta, AppUnwrapper et al., how twitchy/hard is it (outside of figuring out a boss gimmick).
It's a old school hard game, and I personally love it. Pacing so far is similar to Aquaria, but I'm 4 hours in now and I'm dying if I'm not paying attention. At first enemies are negligible...you have time to react, recover and kill them. Now...not so much...whnever I see a new alien I immediately stop and watch what it does, pattern etc...(assuming it doesn't thrust towards me...in that case things get frantic)....maybe I'm just in a part of the map I'm not supposed to be (I already got lost several times). The hardest parts so far are the timed ones...while I can perfectly control the probe I'm no where near to beat them...but maybe I was just tired (played till 3 AM). Those really require skills. It's more the probe inertia than touch controls imho, but I have yet to try if it's easier with a controller. If you completed Aquaria on iPad (I did, last boss wasn't a cakewalk), I would say you are fine.
The first challenge I got not the second yet, there is no speed boost or what so ever you need to practice these challenges and not bumping in to walls and stuff just one smooth ride from the blue startpoint to the last black orb.
I see thanks. The first one...I tried it just twice then I moved on...I'll go back now (assuming I'll find my way back ) Second one I've tried it a lot but damn... Best moments of the game so far (under spoilers but if you saw the second 'torch run' you saw it). Spoiler The huge island with the two teleports on the sides. The crystal shards caves So good.
