Well, if he's using a dual shock controller, he's got to be jailbroken, so updating to the most recent iOS version is definitely out.
Exactly,at the moment updating IOS to any version after 8.1.2 will make my controller useless for any game.
I tried and it works fine with some MadCats controllers I have here. Maybe try updating your DualShock driver and see how it goes?
To use Dual Shock 3 on IOS it requires to have JB device. At the moment there is no jailbreak for IOS after 8.1.2. I known lot`s of people using their playstation 3 and PS4 gamepads on IOS devices because they really comfortable.
You've sorta answered your own question then. A jailbreak is unsupported third party software so Apple doesn't support it and developers don't have to support it. It does break warranty so implied official support goes away with it. Developers do have to support the official MFI once they've implemented it so that might be you're best option. If it's not, obviously some prefer dual shock, well then who, you're going to have to get on to is whoever made the controller software that you installed as its really their responsibility only as the third party developer of it and are the ones that should support it. That be the part of the problem with jailbreak software.
Looking more deeply, I realized I submitted the same build v1.0.3 as v1.0.4. It doesn't contain the Walk/Run fix! I'm submitting a new one tonight with the correct build! Sorry for the inconvenience guys!
true, even the official MFi is not fully supported right now and i suggest tato to focus on this matter instead of supporting the jailbroken controller. get the real MFi to get the full experience.
If developer will bring full support for the official MFI controllers, this support will also cover Dual Shock 3/4. If any version of game will break let say flashlight button,run/walk button effect will be same on official MFI controller,JB Dual Shock 3/4 controller. So advice me to buy official MFI conntroler was pointless. I never ask to support any third party controller.Just wanted to report developer issue that showed up in new ver of game.Wanted to help make game perfect.
I was just offering you some advice. Chillax. And the reality is that your solution may be built on the framework of MFi but it's still not officially MFi, it does involve jail breaking and anything jail breaking not only invalidates warranty but is also unsupported by Apple and not necessary for developers to support. Note that you're solution required a jailbreak, a jailbreak utility that makes changes to BTstack (among other things) in the system files and also required a third party pairing tool utility installed on a pc/Mac in order to make it work so no it's not exactly the same as the native MFi support. It is very much in the definition of third party. Next time just take the advice for what it is, just a bit of advice. In the meantime, the dev has said they recognised the problem and are fixing the official MFi implementation. If it works for you then, problem solved. If not, well, if it's proven to work fine with native MFi support and supported controllers, its somebody else's problem.
All this progress makes me remember all those trolls saying that the game was fake and would never release!!!
If You're Dualshock was working Before The Update,i don't see why will not work after The patch that coming Soon.
Yep,I'm first, then there Paul, but the best part it's that you will never seen"as in thousand"GAMECENTER GAMES" Cheaters or Hackers with 9,999,999,999 Points,as the max it's 110 as you can see, this cause Tato Banned them For it's Game. I will like to see others Developers follow him,and do the Same For They're Games. It Happen on Console,In multiplayer, but see A Developer take Care of this Situation on A Mobile Game,Taking Out Them, has Impress Me. I hope to see you Too on top With us now that you have this Beauty
Hey guys how are you doing? Just to let you know that the last update was delayed because Apple conference last week. I see the update in processing for review now so it will be available this week.
