I dont see any clarification. I do only see assumption that it is not a good fit for mobile, and assumption that if you dislike the save point mechanic means you should go play some f2p freemium crap. And how you insist me to move on.

Without a solid justification not explanation behind the assumptions, yet at the same time telling me to move on while declaring that you wont reply anymore only serves to say you are giving up with the exchange here.

I'm sorry but why do you need to keep beating the dead horse. The devs have stated that they don't want to change the save system and I don't think that continue bugging them about that will change anything. If you don't like the save system then try easy mode, they really tone down the difficulty with that, when you are familiar with it then up the challenge with normal mode. That is how I play it and I find it enjoyable.

I agree with tato, FF is a professional and high quality game similar to consoles, it's even coming to consoles such as PS Vita, Wii U...., so it's not a simple game for playing on the go and never made for that purpose, it's a full game for horror lovers & players that want to have a special game on portable or home consoles. it's not only a game for mobiles or call that made for cell phones.

i wonder why nobody has ever complained about the save system in ducktales remastered(iOS). just try to play it in normal mode and lets see how you play against the same level, same enemies, same coins, same everything after you died even after playing for 30 minutes. i died like more than 10 times on normal mode(with mfi) and finally i give up and change to easy mode. do they change the save system and adding a checkpoint? a BIG NO.

ps. and yes, its a kiddy game

it's too early to tell, cause first this pilot episode will port to PsVita, then on Other platforms Like Wii U,PC,and PS4,then will follow Other episodes, but first episode Took lot of time cause Tato has create it's Own Engine,The FOG Engine,so now it's a plus, cause it take less time to produce The Others episodes..

Can't wait For Hardcore Mode,i've already all achievements(except 2)that i will earn on V.1.0.3..so,i'm Ready and excited 

And nobody have mentioned "The Stealth aspect of The Game? And also that You can avoid enemy? No,of course..

For they keep generalizing and sweeping people who complain about the game as 'bah, they are just casual gamers who want a quick f2p cashgrab monetizing game' and not taking the feedback seriously, and thus I think explanations will be required to explain why this generalization makes no sense, and how we are not hating without any rational thought, and why we believe adopting this save system may not be the best move.

And you don't seems to get the point either. Easy mode helps in making the save system more tolerable, but it doesn't solve the root of the problem entirely.

Totaly agree. Although i do not like the save system at all i am playing at easy mode right now and then normal and nightmare when it comes out. That way i will play the game more times each time being a little better than the last.

More Torelable? But doesn't solve The problem? You have unlimited save..from 1 Pc to The Other One it take 20 second..Did You know that if in normal mode we do that "save everywhere, and unlimited Torch will disable Our GAMECENTER achievements and Leaderboards, and You know why?cause it's a Cheat mode doing so..Again,has been explain it won't change..
I Respect of course every opinion,we're not all albe to play Challenging games, but on easy, with unlimited save,You only Need to Find The pc,once you're Find where every pc are located,it's not more a problem, there only Need to get involved a little bit more, that's all..

Look mate, different people have different way to interpret things. You think that the devs explanation is, let me quote you here "For they keep generalizing and sweeping people who complain about the game as 'bah, they are just casual gamers who want a quick f2p cashgrab monetizing game' and not taking the feedback seriously". I, who have follow this thread since page one, interpret it differently. Basically, there are two group of people, one group hate the save system, the other group think that it is not really a big deal (a little annoying, yes but game breaking ? Hell no). Again the devs believe that the save system is necessary for the tension, the experience, or however you word it, of the game. Are they right ? Or wrong. Only they themselves know since they have access to the actual sale data. I, personally think that the game must be doing pretty well for them to be so adamant about not changing the core system. All in all, this is a niche game, carter to a specific group of player, call them hardcore, call them casual, whatever it is, you don't seem to belong to that group. In that case, do yourself a favor and ask for a refund or be a bit generous and support the devs since what they are doing to the App Store and the mobile gaming is very noteworthy, which is encouraging more developers to focus on the premium aspect of the App Store.

One last thing I want to say, during 2 years as a lurker and one year as a registered member on TA, I rarely see a thread where the devs get so interactive with the community. Tatoforever, literally answer all the questions anyone ask him in a polite manner, something I don't believe I'm capable of if someone keep bashing my creation, or keep on questioning my decision despite me repeatedly state otherwise. If possible please take that into consideration on your decision whether to get a refund or not.

Yup that is pretty much it. I'm going back to being a lurker, the drama in this thread is too serious for me. Have a nice day.

Just want to point out that TA is like the biggest mobile gaming community out there, so this is much more of a deep cut than some people seem to comprehend. There's also Candy Crush Soda Saga, which got a better review...

You're right. It certainly is a bigger issue that most people seem to think. The problem though is no one seems to be noticing that this is one person's opinion though...and someone who is relatively new to the site. I don't mean any disrespect to Andrew, but I would certainly be more mad had the review come from Shaun or even Carter. Hell, the brief mention of Forgotten Memories in one of Shaun's Monday Updates articles spoke quite positively of the game, and especially tato.

Also, I don't want to open up another door here, but while quite excellent in its own right, Test Chamber, IMO, didn't deserve a 5 star review. but Andrew gave it just that. To each his own.

How long it's The gameplay,is different, really depend from you're playstyle,if You Like explore Everything, every enviroment, and solve all clues,it take You 4-5 hours The first time,i'm Talking on "Normal mode"if You Feel youreslf a skilled player, but being The first Time maybe You can Start on "easy" Mode, also if i Think that easy mode don't let You enjoy The Game Like it's mean to be,no pressure, nor The feeling you're not safe, cause some mechanics of The Game Are drastically Change,if You want The true experience, play on Normal mode, lights out, with headphones,You can always switch to easy One if You Find it too Difficult, but learn how to fight(instead of swing Like a MAD)and understand that Most of The time You can play Stealth or avoid The enemy Are The key For success, personally, now,i play The entire Game without save and without never die in at last 80 minutes on Normal mode, but i know everythink of The Game, different path, hidden thinks,i mean it's a Game that You Need to master first, once you're take more confidence with, then You can enjoy and have lot of fun..

Thanks. I usually go with the hardest difficulty at first and then learn from that and get better. If it's still too difficult, I'll lower the difficulty level.

Besides, it sounds like the hardest difficulty is what the developer intended the game to be like.

So I just started playing this on my iPad Air 2. Love love love the game and visuals. But honestly. The game is beyond hard at times and I've had to repeat the same area about 6 times now. I understand the save system but there simply needs to be more save points or something. It's not fun anymore when I have to continuously repeat the same areas. I've spent two hours and I'm a gaming veteran. I beat the little girl shadow thing once.....died a little bit after, went to beat the little girl shadow again only to be also under attack by a mannequin this time as well? You have an amazing game here that's being hampered severely by the lack of progress saving. I don't want an easy game because I love the way this plays but there need to be some tweaks

Don't think console gamers will hate this any less. They will destroy you guys if you don't improve the save system. Yes I played resident evil as kid and loved it. Died plenty, had to repeat plenty, but never this much.....and that was 20 years ago as a little kid.

Yep,Normal mode it's The only One The developer intended..there was only 1 Difficulty setting, then after One week after Launch,The developers do an update that added easy mode,so For not create confusion,The developers call "normal mode"The One they intended"execpt some small change, but an update that Add an Harcore mode it's on The work..can't wait For that..

I've already said the Easy mode will be even easier with more frequent save points (one per corridor, in case you want to save every 5 minutes). Unlimited saves and Flashlight is already in the Easy mode. Normal and hard modes will remain untouchable.
Maps? You don't really need maps, you already got room names and directions on every corridor. But due to the nature of the next episode being a tad bigger we are adding maps to it. Same as in Silent Hill, you still have to find the maps by yourself (and it's part of the design because developers wanted people to get lost on purpose).
