That's what I'm thinking now. I didn't know the game logs that, as the default walking speed is a crawl and I have run selected all the time. Would think the game would log the actual play time for the ending screen, rather than how long you ran. Edit: Btw, congrats Ip4weather, since it sounded like you were having a lot of trouble with it earlier.
Were those 7 saves from different PCs or some of the same? I'm trying to get a sense of my surroundings. Like, I keep pushing ahead, but wondering if that's a mistake, since I end up with long stretches of no charging station or PC.
I also finished the game few hours ago and my run time was around 5 mins. It's a glitch, Tato has fixed it already. It should be available in the upcoming update.
I've started a new game again and I know it will take me much more time to beat it because of those hidden extras...
I'm just wondering 4.99 $ is the introductory price right So what's the price after that? Wow congratz for finishing the game How's the overall experience? Scary?
Bought since i have been itching for a true RE or silent Hill experience. The good (for the game) I find it unbelievably creepy, like those days when i was playing the former games and i was scared to go into every corridor/ open every door. Oh man, the thrills... The bad (for me) is that for some time i was on the fence to buy a manequinn punchbag for training at home.. after this game no way i am putting that thing in my house!
Tato, I've just bought the game and played up until the first save point. First of all, congratulations and thank you for such a fantastic game! It does remind me of the old horror games, which is a good thing. A few questions: - About floppy disks, I read that the game has limited floppy disks. Does that mean the save checkpoints are limited? Or both disks and checkpoints are limited? Eh. There are 10 checkpoints but 5 floppy disks so we must choose carefully whether to save or not. 2. I switched to a different app then came back to it and it's still opened, is it meant to be like that? But then why do so many people whinged about the app not resuming if we receive a call or closing temporarily? As long as we don't quit it, it'll resume where we leave off right? 3. Is there iOS device that can run motion blur? Not that I like everything blurry (even bloom fx is a bit much for me but since it helps brightens up everything I keep that on), but I'm using iPhone 6 and everytime I turn it on, then play then back to settings it's off again?
It is very easy to get disoriented in this game which makes it frustrating because it can be very hard to find a flashlight charging station and the flashlight juice runs down so damn fast. The fact that you have to be in the right spot to find an object requires a lot of exploration but the nature of the flashlight makes this very difficult. Once the light is gone, the game becomes way too frustrating, It makes no sense to me, but I am very glad the next update will Increase the time the flashlight charge lasts. Until then, this is not fun for me, which is a shame in a game with so much to like.
And that's why it's better to wait for Monday's update instead of being frustrated. I'm not gonna ruin my experience with this game, it's perfectly reasonable to wait till weekend and enjoy the game later, when it's open to a much bigger audience.
iPhone 5 doesnt run this game @35fps with all effects activated. It's more like around 23 and in some scenes with heavy graphics loading (especially if they include many real time shadows at once) it becomes even less with notable stuttering. However, the game adjusts graphics settings on the first start according to your device it seems and there are some effects deactivated like HDR, Dirty Screen, and two or three others right from the start (iPhone 5).
I updated my impressions based on my iPad time last night. I may give it another go tonight, but I'm considering just waiting until the next update is out. There are too many issues that make it more frustrating than fun at the moment: http://www.appunwrapper.com/2015/04/24/forgotten-memories-alternate-realities-first-impressions/
Very. Seems excessively harsh, as if he's been personally slighted. A problem with a 5s and it's the end of the world, meanwhile $5 is apparently waaaay too much for an immaculately designed game that pushes the new gen hardware and faithfully recreates a chilling survival horror experience. Oh well, can't please or placate everyone I guess, despite the amount of feedback and support Tato has provided.
