So this game strongly contains one of my irrational phobias; mannequins. I went on media blackout on this game and had no idea they would be everywhere. Literally the first thing you see when you get control of the character is a Spoiler mannequin covered in blood splatters (spoilers, just in case). I was legit spooked when I played, which is fantastic. The ambience is unreal too, amazing job on the developers. The one gripe which unintentionally adds to the tension is the long loading screens, but thats probably my old iPad 2. edit: the nod to both resident evil and silent hill is awesome
This is one of the hardest to achieve. You need to know exactly everything about the game. Plus there's some random unpredictable elements which may play against you a bit. You better make few runs and complete others before getting into this one. Regards,
If you ever get the chance to get an iPadAir2, you'll be amazed with graphics, higher resolution and quick loadings (almost instantaneous) between rooms.
Aye I imagine so. Though the graininess of the iPad 2's outdated resolution amusingly adds to the tension and immersion. Haha. I'm already amazed with the graphics as is, and am wowed by the audio/background sound. 5/5
I'm getting chills! I can't wait! If this menace sounds anything like a stag screaming, then it'll make it all the more horrific!
The dev here said that the game runs at all effects on with 60fps on A7/A8.Bullshit. I wanted to support this game but really this is the kind of behaviour that I absolutely hate,Should've said upfront about this whole thing.
You're of a minority. The game holds up perfectly on my iPhone 6. Though I'm not sure what kind of "behavior" you might be talking about. So far everyone has been pretty straight forward. Try reinstalling the game. Restart after installing to clear the cache and make sure there's nothing else running in the background. If that doesn't fix it, then don't support the game and move on.
I'm not in the minority as indicated by 4 other posters on the forum. Done that already,What do you mean by holds up is it 60fps.Either way I supported the game already by buying it which can't be undone so I would rather hear from the devs themselves.
You know, I wouldn't mind having to backtrack when I get sent back to the last save point *if* things I'd done already would stay done. Like, objects already found, enemies already killed, etc. This redoing everything over and over is getting old. And I'm starting to wonder (since the game apparently can be completed in 30 minutes?) if this is simply a cheap way to extend the game. If there are different rooms/paths to take and the game is non-linear, then you should gain *something* from exploring, even if you don't manage to get to a PC to save before something goes wrong. Hell, even having a map that showed places you'd been to on your last failed attempt and what items were there would make a difference. But this feels like a roguelike without any of the benefits of a roguelike.
I think this is a fair couple of ideas. Permanent changes to the game world, retainable inventories after death etc. however that would mean that if you use consumables in one play through then die, they won't be there to help you out in a bind the next time you try. I will say though, area maps are a MUST. If we're making comparisons to Silent Hill with this game, then maps play a vital part of the experience.
The same way Silent Hill 3 can be completed under 40mins by speedruning. Normal runs takes around 10 hours.
I agree Kind of how dark souls is,Also it would be better to have seamless environments for the next episode, Having to load after every 5 minutes is annoying and kills immersion, It can be done shattered memories in ps2 was wholly seamless and much better for it.
We can easily add maps, in fact we had maps and we removed them. The question is, do you really need a map? There's a lot of boards with rooms directions on every corridor. Maybe you miss them? Cheers,
yeah maps would have been helpful maybe you could make it item that we found during our play through or maybe just a map on the wall that we have to look at with our precious flashlight but without maps, it makes me keep wondering what's behind those doors am i taking the right path?jeez scary.... how do you measure FPS in ios game? but i did not recognise any hiccups on my 6+ and even it's not 60 fps it's still playable, hell it's freakin smooth here, it's not a first person shooter that needs twitch reflex it's not a dealbreaker
