Totally agree on that. Forgotten Memories is a horror game. Is like a horror movie, you can only enjoy them at night, where all your senses points only in one direction, to the movie or in this case the game.
Gotta agree. While it's dissapointing everyone's bitching is making the game easier, it still seems like it's gonna keep the hardcore survival horror that's rare nowadays just a bit easier.
Keep in mind that the game won't get easier, it will become a bit more less hardcore. After this update, if people keep complaining about the game, we'll simply redo all that thing and put it back where it was. Furthermore if people appreciate the new adjustments we'll add a new hardcore mode.
We are improving game state when it goes in background mode (avoiding the OS to kill it). If you put it in background while you are on the go, you should be able to continue where you left later on (only if the game still in background, if you close the application, you'll get back to your last manual save). Keep in mind, if you die it wont change anything, you'll get back to your last floppy save point (on a PC). Regards,
People can have different opinions of the game. But when people start insulting others, posts will be deleted and people warned.
Yeah...ermmmm, let a moderator step in and say: Both positive and negative are not only welcomed, but allowed (Hi Batista! )...but as soon as people (both regular users and especially developers) are being attacked, that's where shit hits the fan and actions will be taken. Please stop it now before you (anyone) suffers the consequences.
Well, I'll reserve judgement until I see how the update plays out. Right now I can cause FM to close just by opening a single other app at the same time, but if the update fixes things so that I can actually use a reasonable number of other apps for a reasonable amount of time without the game automatically shutting down and resetting, this will no longer be an issue. I have absolutely no problem with the current manual limited save system, just the way the game has been randomly erasing progress when people do other things with their devices while the game is running. Thanks again for the response.
Everybody is allowed criticise. But there is both a civil and reasonable way of doing that and one that is not. I'd recommend the civil way rather than the cheap shot way if one wants their opinion to have any bearing or be heard. Or if anybody is genuinely interested in continued developer interaction on the forum.
I like TA mainly because I like to interact with people and get their opinions and feedback. I'm a veteran developer that worked on the very first iPhone Engine Gameloft had (yeah, all those littles games that still came out from Gameloft, I was one of the guys behind their technology) just before I left the company to fund Psychoz Interactive. Sometimes I feel a little off with people getting their heads on small details in games. It's not only disrespectful but also discouraging to some degree. But hey, that's how it works! You get bombed for everything and for nothing in the game industry! I'm kinda used to it.
We are now working an update to fix that, is a top priority. Hopefully the update will get live before Monday. Cheers,
Tato, please look at the 12 minute mark (ish) on the video I posted a bit further back. I got an exclamation point, then was told it's too dark to see. Turned on my flashlight, spent a good while trying to find the exclamation point again, and it ended up being just an empty pizza box that I wasted my flashlight to find.
I saw your video yeah, we are rising the flashlight battery power to 20 mins instead of 10 (and will probably add 1-2 recharge stations here and there), but still some objects and interactions are quite hidden in the game. The one you where trying to get is one of the many. Some of them require lot of time to find and search. Plus, due to the non-linearity of progression, big chances are that you won't unlock every room and interactions on your first run. PS: Pretty nice video btw, was that an iPhone5 with Air streaming?
What you mean by that? I assume since you need to find certain objects, that you can't progress without them? Do you mean you have to backtrack a lot? Or it's fine to miss certain things? How would you even know what's ok to miss if that's the case? Without a map or any idea where the next save/charging station is, I don't see how you can be smart about your flashlight. In the beginning, it seemed fairly easy to find a charging station, then all of a sudden I'm wandering all over the place and don't see a single one. And yeah, that's my iPhone 5 over wifi. I use that for recording because my iPad Air 2 videos get messed up when I upload them to youtube.
@Tatoforever:You take in consideration to do 2 modes,One more easy as You say,but let's us The Game Like It's mean to be by You,and you're team.i want play The Game Like It's now,The impact,The Challenge,in My opinion It's The Core part of The Game,i want play this way,so eweryone It's happy, cause do it so,You will please only The more "Casual Gamers" but The Game It's mean to be a little bit more For Harcore Gamers,or simple By Users Who Like The Challenge...
This is a FANTASTIC news! Thank you very much for being open to suggestions and that you care about us. By making these tweaks you're gonna please much bigger audience, there's no doubt about that. And I believe the game's not gonna lose absolutely nothing from its atmosphere. Very well done!
So my posts got deleted, may I ask why? I didn't insult anyone. This thread is just getting ridiculous.
Tato, would it be possible to give us the option to switch off subtitles in a future update? They are huge on a full-size iPad screen and really break the atmosphere. I can hear what the character is saying - I dont need it to be written across half the screen, blocking the view.
