Sorry no, that's the pirated version. If you bought the game through the AppStore, random freescares are disabled.
Then the Russian AppStore must be playing tricks on me..? I'll just attach it here so that I don't look like a douchebag in front of the devs eyes. I have a legit version of the game, downloaded from the AppStore. Re-downloading it as we speak..
Hate to admit, though. I enjoyed FM more than I should have (I wildly dislike horrors in general.) BUT MAN JUST LOOK AT THEM OPTIONS. SO MUCH CUSTOMIZATION!
To most people they will be seen as similar in that if one is looking for a horror game on iOS they are two recent high-profile options. Not to mention the setting is the same (abandoned insane asylum). They are both "Survival Horror" genre games.
How is stuff like that not caught during the extensive beta testing they do for these games? It generally doesn't detract from the experience though the more story-driven a game is, the more likely it will.
As I sit here downloading Forgotten Memories in sheer disbelief, I feel the need to actually say something. I just want to congratulate tato and the team at Psychoz (Psychose?) Interactive for persevering till the very last moment and finally shutting up the naysayers. It's been a really, really long road (6 years!!!) and I think we all know the upcoming thread was somewhat of a nightmare. Accusations, insults, broken promises, delays, lots of angry people, mods (hi! ) getting super mad, etc. etc. etc....but look at where we are now. There's actually a thread for Forgotten Memories in the release section. Who would've ever thought? O_O It look a long while for people to believe this was really a thing and though it was proven time and time again (recently) that this would be coming out soon, even yesterday's drama brought along with it some doubt. I'm not gonna say that Psychoz are necessarily owned an apology, since the drama came from both sides some time ago...but I think we all can shut the **** up and give credit where it's due. Psychoz did it and proved everyone wrong. Forgotten Memories is here. I hope that's reason enough for the naysayers to finally trust tato and his team and at the same time, I hope it's enough for tato to forgive everyone for putting him through hell all of these years. It's crazy to think how much shit these guys had gone through while the very same product you hold in the palm of your hands was being worked on. I know I did my part in both being supportive of tato and doubting him myself at times, so I'm not sure what to say other than "Thank you" and "Sorry". I hope this is a clean slate and a new beginning for us. I think a measly fiver, my precious device space and this heartfelt message is a start to prove that "In Tato I Trust". As for this thread? It's a little disgusting to see people complaining about the save system. Yes, this is mobile...but that doesn't necessarily mean Forgotten Memories should be deemed a mobile game. While this platform does have tiny, bite-sized games...it also has massive games such as BioShock, The Longest Journey, Stranger's Wrath, KOTOR and so on and so forth that don't necessarily fit the platform, but none-the-less are here to how how strong it is at providing both pick up 'n' play experiences and games that you can get lost in for hours and hours. The save system is fine. Deal with it.
The enemies close to the door lock the door temporary. You need to kill both of them in order to exit.
Wait you mean that every game that comes out isn't completely tailored to my exact specifications? It's one thing to state your "opinion", but when some of you start to twist your opinions into facts, it becomes a bit much. Not to mention in the time it took you to go on your "waaaa no auto save rant" you could have found a disc and computer, and saved.
If you put the game on hold (phone call, switch between apps, etc) it should get you back where it was instead of crashing. We've discovered an issue with the game crashing when entering background mode. It's being fixed now and should be in the first update.
No. There is objectively no reason to not have a quick save system. The floppy disk save system is fine as is, but with a game like this, we need a quick save & exit option. It doesn't interfere with gameplay in the slightest, as dying would still make you lose your all of your progress until your last floppy disk save, and it actually lets people stop playing when they want to instead of having to rush through a section to find a save point. Why on earth wouldn't you want this?
yeah tato please add somekind of a quick-save for when i need to open another app or maybe replying email or even taking a phone call
