Great game, really great game! The detail, the atmosphere. the lighting and the sounds are close to what we can play near to ''the little bit older'' consoles (prev gen). I was waiting for this result and thanks god they deliver it to us! My only concern is about the saving system. Not that i don't like the hardcore stuff (i like the flashlight stations and the floppy system) but i think that with an easy update thay can make the game shine (more). As i said before i like the hardcore stuff and that the deaths ''costs'' you, but i hate the ''redoing'' stuff just because of an email, a phonecall, or anything that will put the app in background with the opportunity to start from scratch when you will bring it back (in cases that RAM isn't enough to keep the app alive). For me a good solution without breaking hardcore fans stuff but also brings the game more close to the medium it is (Phone devices) is to make an all time autosave feature, (so in case the app close after minimized to background) you will continue from exact (or close) to the point you were BUT if you die (which is YOUR fault and not your iPhone's rules) you 're starting from the Floppy save! And of course keep the here and there stations for light and saves as it is. IMO with a feature like this we will feel (or at least some of us) the same anxious as we playing ''Oh no i must be careful not to die or to stay out of light'' and on the other hand we will not feel cheated if the app will close because of a long phonecall etc... Anyway, i soooo much already like it and with this, Implosion, Halo, Sorcery 3, Rex Rocket etc i feel sooo good that i am a premium player on this platform!!! Great job guys, kudos!

Yep... Agreed. Not for casuals, but on mobile. Kinda ironic.

It's not a timed section. I saw that creepy face screaming my nuts off right after my very first save attempt. It said game over. Then I reloaded, ran around for a good half an hour, had fun goofing around with them boob physics, then I the face appeared again, all I did was standing in one place and moving the camera around. I reloaded back using the same save file only to die instantly standing in the same place I was standing the previous time I reloaded.
Man I need an official confirmation that this is indeed the jailbreak that causes it.

Yeah, that would ruin the game, but that's not what we're talking about.

The perfect solution to this problem would be a quick-save (or autosave) feature that lets you save anywhere, then it kicks you to the main menu. When you open that save, that quick-save gets deleted. If you die, you would just go back to your last floppy disk save point. It would have no effect whatsoever on gameplay, and it would make the game way more accessible. It's not a matter of casual vs hardcore, it's a matter of knowing the platform and knowing that there's going to be a need to save and quit quickly. Hell, there are already a ton of mobile games that offer a suspend feature just like this and it works perfectly.

I am genuinely amazed at some of the stuff I'm reading here (and I've read a whole lot of "stuff" here complaining about casual games).
You hit the nail right on the head there. Changing the save would change the very nature of the game and i 100% agree with you.
Making that change would make it a completely different game and people would probably be complaining about easy it is then.
I guess you can't please all the the people all the time but it appears the IGN comments section might actually of been right about mobile gamers all along.
It's not really going to encourage other developers to take risks and put challenges in front of mobile players though which is a pity.
I'm curious to see if they'll still be complaining when there's nothing but angry birds/flappy bird/candy crush left to play on the platform.

Either way, the game has fantastic atmosphere and offers a genuine challenge.
If people are not up for that, don't even try.
But if you are and you want something georgous on you're phone that offers a genuinely full gaming experience with excellent atmosphere that will really have you're skin crawling with fear and offer great satisfaction at completion, you guys are in for a real treat.

This game is much more frustrating than Lost Within. You basically have to stumble around in the dark until you are told that it is too dark then you flip the flashlight on for a second, read or get whatever it was you need, and then turn off the flashlight again. If you don't play it that way, you'll run the flashlight out in no time. It's challenging but also not very entertaining as you play a game you can barely see anything in for most of the time. Even Silent Hill had a flashlight that never ran out.

lol, what does that have to do with asking for impressions on the game? I can buy the game in a second if I wanted to, lmao.

What's the deal with all these horror games taking place in asylums? Both this and Lost Within share the same setting.

On another note, this game has some laughable spelling and grammar errors. Lol at how "surgical pliers" is spelled "Chirlurgical pliers"

Sure they are. I play most of my games on console and pc. I also enjoy playing games on mobile and the more difficult they are, the better. There is demand for these types of games on mobile.

Simple solution is to turn off the lights when you enter a room with lights, that will save the power. Also once you figure out where to charge it it gets so much easier

First unlimited flashlight, next infinite save point. Honestly just don't play. Resident evil is similar and remain the same thru the series. Same thing for evil's within restricted save point limited inventory and ammo. There is a reason why the game is design that way and it's not even a flaw to begin with that is part of how the game actually become more tense. If you can't take it, the genre is just not for you then move on. Why should a game be change for you when the issue is in you rather than the game? Talk about save point, go play bloodborne. That s even way more brutal. Regardless where you die even if on boss fight at the end, you be thrown back to the beginning with all enemies fully respawn and you have to fight your way thru again. Plus you even lose all your blood souls (in game currency). So with what you are saying this design is a flaw too. But then again it's a 92/100 rating game average from 87 reviews.
