@Pacificsun0481, Btw, I've never said this game will be exclusive to iPad2 or iPhone4S. I've only said the enhanced graphics will be exclusive to A5 based hardware. Special post effects and advanced soft-shadows, real-time deformations, highly detailed environments, higher texture resolutions, stuff like that. If for some reason we split both versions (HD and SD) we'll add extra content to the newer versions (like new playable characters, monsters, environments, side-quests, etc).
You'll have twice the resolution for 3D graphics and 4 times the res for 2D graphics so yes, by default you'll have kind of enhanced graphics on your iPad1/2 and iPhone4/4S.
You will get exactly the same game as 3GS users, nothing more nothing less, but due to the higher res of A4/5 devices we had to tweak the game interfaces to match that resolution, the game looks sharper on those devices. I shouldn't provably called them SD or HD (it makes people think it's just a resolution upgrade). Whatever version came after, we'll make sure it have lots of new contents to justify the release or it will simply end up as an additional upgrade to the first release. Cheers,
Yes, We got three new guys on our team, one character artist/animator, an other designer and one 2D artists. They will help us keep the project on track but still I'm not sure for a December release. We are working as hard as possible and making sure everything will remain the same (feature-wise). We'll show new stuff soon + a final release date. Keep en eye. Cheers,
Judging by that sound, the most likely release date is somewhere around January-February. Are you going to have a beta test for this game?
Hello guys, We've recently got backed up by an Investor. They saw our project and decided to help us with the money. However this is an investor, not a publisher, which means that we still making the rules and independent. Nothing will be rushed, plans remain the same which is give you a quality survival horror game that you'll love and remember forever. Be patient and we take care of the rest. We will publish this big news soon (alongside with our new web site and other news and details about the game, approximate release dates, etc). Warm regards from our Team Psychoz.
Hello dear folks, First off, take a look at our new web site: www.forgottenmemoriesthegame.com Still work in progress, but comments and feedback are always welcome. We are aiming for a Spring 2012 launch. I know this isn't the place to post but at the same time is a news that you must know. We are looking for talented 2D and 3D Artists to help us push Forgotten Memories even harder! For 3D artists: - One environment artist (prop artist). - One character modeller and/or character animator (body and facial). You must know mobile hardware limitations (texture and poly budgets/constrains). If possible a 3ds Studio Max background (all our levels props and characters are done with max). Zbrush or any other sculpting software is also a plus (eg to extract AO, normal maps, specular maps). Photoshop or any other paint software knowledge is required. Unreal Engine and/or Unity Engine knowledge is a big plus. For 2D artists: You'll be working on interfaces (puzzles, riddles, menus, etc). Tweaking and polishing existing ones, make them look sharper and better. Character concepts, artworks and matte painting is a big plus. Looking forward to hear from ya. Warm regards from Team Psychoz.
We will move the site to HTML5 based later on. We know that Flash will come to an end soon or later and HTML5 is taking over but from now it'll be flash. ^^ EDIT: A preview image of the site for those using non-flash browsers is attached.
That's too bad. I would like to work this project with your company as I have a knowledge in 3ds Max and little knowledge in Unity, since I'm learning Game Design. But school and all that...
Yeah, full time paid position. Do you have any online portfolio or demoreel? I'm curious to check your work. Tanks for your interest. Cheers,
