    Hello guys,
We were a bit silent the past weeks but we still working actively on FM.
Isn't because we dont post daily updates that we aren't working. Of course not, we are hard at work with FM.
We are about to release the gameplay video, it should be there this week, showing few minutes of gameplay and interaction.
    Cheers,

This is NOT the first time or week Tato has promised a video, for the week they're saying they'll release a video...

So, I hold much skepticism and reservation on their bold promises.

As it stands, we don't really know whether or not this game is like Superbrothers: S&S.

    Mere vaporware.

Stop then asking aggressively for a video and wait patiently till it comes. ;)
Developing a game isn't as easy as get from point a to point b in a matter of a specific time.
When you develop a game, time it's very relative. If you never hear the term "soon" in the game industry, it could be something from one week up to 3 months.
If you dont like the way games are developed or the way we develop games, that's fine, just stop bashing/flaming about a game that you dont know about.
    Tank you.

It's ok, most people realize the time it takes to make a game, and the boundaries that need to be overcome, the biggest one being time. We're patient people, just so excited to finally see an actual, normal gameplay video :)

    Let me add something else,
We are working with a very big partner, so anything released to public is mostly approved by them. I'm not the only one making decisions regarding, early in-game pictures/videos. If for whatever reason they said, no, then there's nothing i can do about that. Try to ask EA to release photos or videos and see what happens.
    Cheers,

You know what I don't get is why companies and devs are so secretive with their projects. Sorry if I'm being naive here....

I've never personally posted requesting a video or too much info on this title. I've only wondered whether a ipad specific version is coming.

I'm not going to bash or knock you for what you show, or don't show.

I will say, however, that promising numerous false deadlines to members on the forums for a video for several months, does nothing for our goodwill.

If the game is simply progressing slowly, don't promise things you believe you can't deliver on.

Just follow the id software credo: it's done when it's done.

There is, however, something to be said for TouchArcade members and our impressions toward a game: We can help turn a game into a hit, or a flop.

For a true testament of our community power, see: Aralon: Sword and Shadow.

The short and simpler answer is:
Releasing early states of a product could be bad. Not because the assets can be in a early state but mostly because, sometimes(and specially when you have a very tight budget) all the features you have planned won't see the day light.
For example, we have a lots of features that we haven't yet announced and you may provably see on the gameplay videos. What do people will think if they dont have those features in the final version of the game?
Remember RE3.5 Beta? The game changed a lots of stuff by the end, being an survival horror game at first and end up an action game. What would people think if they knew about that? Could be pretty bad indeed.
An other good example, Half-Life2, they planned something like 30-50% more features but they had to cut it down to what it is now, for some reasons (money, time, staff, etc).
Also, in very early stages of dev, there's a bunch (a lot maybe) of bugs, some people may criticize those bugs creating early negative reviews of the game. That's why, studios are very secretive about game development.
An other reason are, competition, sometimes you have an idea, very unique, you should keep it. As there's a lot of people wandering and stealing those ideas.
You are very lucky, Indie developers are pretty open they share a lots of stuff with users, there's is a closer contact with gamers and i like that, but sometimes, some people dont understand some important factors in game industry. We understand that all of you really wanna see FM gameplay but be patient, if for whatever reason we cannot show you something right now dont be scared. We still working actively, backed up by a very nice partner and when the real moment comes to show public stuff to gamers, you'll have plenty. Until then, we'll release what we can release.
Like i said, I've promised a video a while back, I'll release it this week. Be aware and dont spec a finished game, we are far from it, FM still heavy in development and some stuff needs improvements and polish to be perfected.
    King regards,

The game dev isn't progressing slowly, like i said, we are working with a publisher, we cannot just simply take decisions by ourselves.
If the gameplay video haven't been released is because isn't the time to release it. If you are a game tester then you should learn the term "soon" and what it means in game industry.

I am willing to bet this is vaporware. Dev is trying to generate excitement to entice a publisher to get some funding but without a publisher this is nothing but vapor.

I think the excitement was already generated and we were already approached by few publishers. We've are actively working with one that i can't mention due to NDAs. So i wont suggest you to bet your iTouch on that, or we'll have an extra device here for testing purposes. ^^

We already got few users from here (touchArcade), but we need more for our next milestone release. I'll let you know once we get closer to the date.
The only think you need to do is sign a NDA with your personal info.
We also, reward our testers with some paypal money and gift cards. :)
Write me an email to: support -at- psychozinteractive -dot- com.
And tanks for your interest. :)
