Online co-op in a horror game? Sold! I've been looking for that on consoles (Resident Evil 5 didn't count), and here it is right on my iPod. Yeah, I've been out for a couple weeks now, so I missed a lot of stuff, but that alone got me interested again. And I'm even more sold after reading that there's disturbing stuff. Just curious, but how disturbing/scary is this gonna be? Any sort of previews that you can give us of any scenes or rooms that you'd consider disturbing or scary?
I'll post new pics in the coming days but you better wait for the demo (coming this Christmas) to see by yourself. But to give you an example of disturbing, you'll find human body part/skin ripped off. Monsters are also quite disturbing/scaring. You are playing in a nightmarish disturbing and scaring hospital. We are aiming at pure psychological and ultra disturbing horror. ^^
Am I going to get nightmares after playing this? Lol. I've never played Silent Hill. Sounds cool though.
If this is half as good as it sounds, I'm all in. It sounds almost exactly like Silent Hill, which aside from Clock Tower might be the scariest game I've ever played. I'm really, really looking forward to this.
Clock tower was ridiculous. I hope this game measures up. I just can't imagine it. Be careful not to over hype, though. We need some screen shots off of an actual iOS device, too. A quick video. No need to be too secretive. If it's a good game, there's no need to hide it away.
please give us gameplay vid. even a short one like about 2mins? this game sure looks and sounds great!
I can't answer to that question yet. It depends on few factors: - Time, is that demo good enough to let people squeeze it out? - Visuals, how good the interface is for an in-deep showcase? As you provably knows we still working on the interface and improving every single bit/stuff of the game wish could be different from the final product. - Bugs, yes even if its looks amazing, bugs still presents and its not funny play a game (or even a demo) fully loaded with bugs. - Features, some features aren't finished (or still in heavy dev)! - The most important is publishing and partner-wise approval. Even if by that time we have a monster fully finished demo we cant simply take the decision to publish it by our own. We can however showcase videos from the game. But don't worry, we are working on that part, if by Christmas time, all the above is fully meet, then we will publish a playable demo for you to play out. If isn't, then you'll have to stick out with gameplay videos. King regards,
I definitely suggest sending out a free demo, that way people can actually experience what the game will be like before they buy the finished product, allowing you to make a premium pricing if the demo shows off all the game's strengths. This game may be a HUGE hit...and the horror theme will be a big draw even to casual gamers, in my opinion.
The horror theme is something not a whole lot of developers have tried yet on the app store, I'm looking forward to it.
I agree, either that or the devs approach the genre mindlessly by bringing out a gory zombie shooter with no depth, no scary parts, just plain bland. There have been a couple really good zombie shooters, but nothing scary. Games like SH were always scary and far more fun to play than raining bullets on hordes of monsters. Another question to the dev, do you plan on expanding on the game? Perhaps more areas to explore, DLC, bonus areas things of that nature? If this game is as good as I think it will be, I'd be happy to pay for additional content.
Totally agree with the first part, now to answer your question. Yes. We have plans (already designed) to add DLC with more stuff, puzzle, missions, cinematics and levels to extend the gameplay and coop playability. Cheers,
How the hell is this going to ruin a great game? This isn't a freemium game, you do not have to buy the extra content. Personally I'd be more than happy to support a dev that would put so much work into this game and give us updates. The more money we are willing to give them, the better product(s) they can provide for us. It's common sense.
If I can make a suggestion you may want to update the title of this thread referencing the genre of the game, "Upcoming Survival Horror game, Forgotten Memories" I don't know that may attract more attention to those who have been overlooking this thread.
Actually most gamers worry about the Freemium games that almost force you to buy IAP in order to get far in the game. They need MONEY to improve their games, therefore if we like the game, why shouldn't we support them further?
Well, if 6 floors fully loaded with corridors/rooms, fully loaded with all kind of monsters, bosses, puzzles/clues etc + many outside levels + online coop isn't enough.... we have a problem. ^^ The initial product will be a fully finished game with about 10+ hours of gameplay (if you are a speedrunner and a pro horror gamer), it could be more than 15h+ if you are new to this kind of content. Plus we have 3 difficulty modes normal, hard and insane wich features extra objectives/stuff to unlock to do, extra content by their own. What about the achievements? I mean, if you take care of every single achievements and side missions, you'll have for more than 15hours. DLC will come quite handy once you finished all the rest, but they aren't by any mean pars of the game, our DLCs will mostly add extra stuff to the game, we aren't selling the game in parts or chapters, the initial product will be a fully polished/completed and finished game. ^^ King regards,
Wow, I wasn't even expecting that much content. Sounds great to me. I like to take my times with good games so the play time will probably be even longer for me. Can't wait for it to come out, when did you say the release date would be, and do you have any estimated prices?
