Lol I have no idea what's going on with this one, so I'm not the one to confirm anything. All I know is that I'm getting an ipad air 2, hopefully it'll still be enough to play this when it finally hits the app store.
This thread has officially been on TA for over 5 years, congrats! I wish all the trolls hadn't driven the Devs away, it would be great to actually see what's going on with the game.
Not a mod yet, but I'd advise ya'll to calm down on the puns and gags. Please don't bump this thread if you have nothing of value to contribute.
2015 now another year gone no FM What exactly is the current state of the game? I don't want search through 500+ pages to find the answer so can anyone help with an update of what's going on? Last I knew it went in to beta about 10 months ago and since then all we've had is people who claim to have played it saying 'it's worth the wait!'. What is holding it up?
They've played it, and I've seen gameplay from a WHILE ago (over a year) that looks great. I'm sure that the wait is worth it.l, as if it took this long the improvements should be amazing. The dev team is really small, like under 10 people last I heard. Although I really want to know what's going on. Is Apple rejecting it or something? Are they finishing all the episodes before releasing the game?
no apple is not rejecting it, and they are working on all episodes as they go, the team is very small and the game is amazing, stay tuned for great news in the near future
well there are updates on their facebook page if you like to follow, updating the public is pretty much a choice not every developer does it, i don't remember games such as IB1,2,3 or any of telltale games updating anything, some devs announce there game then we wait till it comes out, this game will be out with a bang it is amazing
well i'm gonna let the dev answer this after they released the IOS version, i think they were planning to release on multiple platforms after IOS but things could change
You're right, I never thought about FB. Galaxy on fire Devs used to post character models, pictures and commentary every week and kept it's fans up to date. Anyway, I am still looking forward to play FM.
There's nothing new on FB, just a bunch of old concept art and "Soon" responses to people asking about a release date.
Apologies to wade into ye ol' Forgotten Memories release debate. I want to focus on the alleged plan to work on all of the episodes at once. Has this been confirmed? As I understand, this project has been re-worked at least several times over 5 years, I believe? The project team is small, must have been burning through finance to allow them to develop over this period, and are intending to release the game in episodic format - yet are developing all of the episodes at once. Is this correct? If so, this would seem to be a baffling decision because the advantages of episodic gaming are: allowing the developers to release episodes on a release schedule, re-using a lot of the assets for subsequent episodes, releasing each episode at a cheaper price in chunks, and allowing for immediate feedback from players to further refine in future episodes (creating a marketing buzz), and more importantly, allowing for an income stream whilst working on further episodes. It would seem a strange decision to alter an established business model on what is already an incredibly protracted development project.
