where are all the guys that doubted the existence of this game? i wanna hear thoughts from people asking and demanding for updates......
I would also like to re-iterate that first episode took a bit of time cause we were finishing the engine. But episode 2 and 3 content are in active development for a while now. Plus the engine is finished now, it should be miles faster. Episodes 2 and 3 will be released within months from each one.
Why? Did the game come out? Then they're probably still sceptical. I've seen so called screens of The Wild and I'll be sceptical of that until it comes out. And was very excited for Infinity Blade Dungeons, couldn't wait to play it when I bought my shiny new iPad 3. Fingers crossed though
both the wild and Infinity Blade Dungeons have never been played by outsiders, you never seen or heard anybody playing it, i played this game tested it and that was months ago and what is seen can not be unseen lol The difference between this game and the others is that this one has been played by a small batch of testers if you don't see anybody saying anything it is because we legally can't. So when most people were saying this game dosnt exist and so on, i was reading the posts had my lights off and playing this game. People should be exited about 3 things. 1: is the game. 2: is the new episodes that would follow. 3: the crazy engine they build for this game if they start giving the engine to other developers commercially people might stop playing console games, this engine is crazy its running games with high detail smoothly even on older devices its running on such high fps on new devices that they are forced to lock at 60fps lol and i have seen high end effects not possible even possible with engines from big companies, its crazy.
The problem with mobile games isn't the graphics, it's the lack of physical controls and even with an MFi controller the platform is far from ideal. There's also the fact that many people wont touch a game that isn't 99c or free so what incentive is there to make such high quality games? Having a good engine is a great starting point but the rest of the production is still a huge investment. This is where the doubt comes in I think. Are betas not meant to be a near final build distributed to a large group of people to try and find any bugs. It should be a complete game, not missing any content or features. There are exceptions like when a game releases only the mutli-player component and only one map for beta, or there may be lower quality place holder textures in parts (I feel like this is more of an alpha state thing), I guess that's more an issue of not giving out the whole game for free - even if it is in a potentially buggy state. But ever since the beta we've been getting (rare) updates about how a new visual effects and other things have been added...I don't know, that doesn't sound like polishing to me. Finishing off the last batch of voice recording is certainly not polish, that's just straight up finishing the content. That's my understanding anyway. I believe it's a real game and it will look like what we've been shown. I'm quietly confident that it will live up to the hype the devs and beta testers have built. I just can't believe that we'll be getting it any time soon. Whenever it does show up I'll definitely be grabbing all 3 episodes (unless something is terribly wrong with the first!). Fingers crossed.
i will say this in the best possible way without getting in trouble by TATO lol, the build we got to play was almost bug free it could have been released but the kind developers took there time to add more content make everything better by a wide margin so you guys can have the best experience there are a lot more things that we testers get to see than public, so hopefully you will get to play the game sooner than later and thank you for your positive words.
Shaddup. Every time I see this thread active it's never new info or a release date, just squabbling that's been done a a billion times before. There's simply no doubt the game exists and will eventually release, the (frustrating) question is when.
He wasn't talking to you Leocold. He was talking to the "doubters". JB has been one of the strongest supporters (if not THE strongest) of the game and of Tato in the thread for a very long time and probably before you're time on the test. I know it's an aggravating environment in here but some people are supporters. Be cool. It's worth checking people's post history before getting in to it, you'll see the supporters pretty clearly that way.
Well I agree that this game will be released and when it does it will probably be one of the all time greats on iOS, up there with modern combat 4, Dead space, Infinity Blade but the question is when? Hopefully by Christmas 2014. Here's hoping
To you two above me (Mod - deleted those posts now). I am/was a beta tester for this game. It does exist. Not too sure what the hold up is....probably money like everything else. It's a really good game and hopefully it will be out soon. Just have a little more faith.
Some games take longer, theres games created by indie devs who may have issues or want to delay things for whatever reasons. Lots of people drove 'The Wild' devs away with constant 'why havent you posted every 3 seconds' or 'why isnt it out' Either be patient or simply dont post if you're just going to whinge at the dev as those posts will be deleted. (just deleted some posts now). If cowards are going to create a new account just to post something negative then those accounts will be banned asap I remember people saying Oceanhorn wouldnt be out (and i think they had a far bigger budget)
The game is not and never was a "troll". Enough of the long term membership in here, respectful honest people who actually support developers, development and the process, have already played it You can choose to believe whatever you want but enough of us here understand what's going on but with statements like yours and Idgeian resurrected before ya (by the way Idge//Fred/whatever name you're going by these days, self praise is no praise and whatever bitter vendetta you have going on against this game, it just looks petty and childish), we just couldn't be bothered sharing it with people on here. But thanks for the post, it really does prove that there is no point whatsoever in any developer ever considering interaction on here about they're game or the development process at all in the future. Pity really, I used to enjoy those threads but people just like to ruin them like they ruined this one and the one for The Wild. Edit. I see PSJ has done his usual excellent modding and also made another excellent point in a post, not sure whether to leave this post now or just delete it. Ah, too late, it's up now so I'll leave it up to the man that knows best
Don't even bother answering them lol, sometimes you have to understand not all people have a love for great gaming some people are just 12yr old brats that get sent to their room get bored and start typing crap and trolling the net
Ah, I know. But the thing is you and me both know the game exists and its a staggering achievement by Tato and the team and on the off chance that they do sometimes read here despite being driven away by the trolls, I think it's important to know that there are those of us that have faith and support them. Faith and support is a great motivator and I believe in showing them that support as it'll help motivate them to get it back in my hands and released.
How many? Lots. Lots and lots. Lots more every day. Ones that caused The Wild thread to be locked because of their incessant spamming. Lots that caused that dev to just give up on TA and stop posting. Lots that caused this dev to give up on TA because of the incessant negativity thrown in their direction. Lots that caused Gameloft to give up on TA because of the constant hatred thrown in their direction. Lots that caused many more devs to silently withdraw or to simply not come here at all in the first place. Lots that caused devs to mention specifically the negativity on here towards developers at E3 this year and question contributing further here as the negativity of the trolls cause it to be an uncomfortable experience for them to interact on here. Lots of em. Luckily there are actually some that support developers still around. Not many devs that I know are willing to take that risk anymore though unfortunately because nothing is more disheartening than a bunch of Internet people throwing hate and negativity at you all the time when all one is trying to do is interact with them and make the creations you pour your heart and soul into a better experience. So, yeah, lots of trolls. Too many to count. Does that answer your question or did you have something alternate that you were trying to express?
