All I know is that this thread started in my sophomore year of high school. In that time I have gone through 3 girlfriends, 3/4 of high school, fraternity rush (3 times), fraternity pledging, 3/4 of college, several lab research jobs, and several trips abroad. If nothing else, this thread has endured through so many stages of my life. I can only imagine how much the game means to Tato and whoever else is a part of the dev team, since it has been their project for so long. I've long been finished with waiting for a release date, at this point it will just have to be a happy surprise when it comes out. but when it comes out, I know it will be an instabuy, just from the love the dev is putting into it. Just realized the thread is dated beyond when I was a member, back when I only lurked around the site every now and then. Good times...
Yep now full time on fire department and in college, it was, let's see, when I was a sophomore in high school as well....oh well they must be making one sold game!
5 years doe... People have been to prison and been released, they waited for this game and STILL not out. They go back to jail..
I doubt it's going to take another year at all,If it's in beta stage then no changes are to be made anymore they'll just fix the bugs and release the game which should be out in the next month or two.Typically beta testing takes around 3-4 months but that's for AAA console games.Though it does depend on the number of beta testers involved as well.If it's in serious beta then it should be out this month or next month most likely,Even if they stretch it should be available in August at the most. But that's just my opinion, the testers would know how polished/complete the game really is.
Nah, they cannot, other than posting comments in this thread that just so happens to put them in touch with the devs, what are they exactly giving that gives them the right to complain or to be upset? What exactly do the devs owe them so they reasonably feel alienated? Nothing.
5 years??? Wait this started 5 years ago??? I was still 20 something at that time, now I am 30 something with a kid and a wife.... Holy crap
I agree. I'm glad they created this thread as i find it interesting with updates (despite the timescale). A lot of devs might not say a word until a week before release and then do PR stuff. Its interesting as you realise how long some of these games can take to develop for various reasons. Then you can understand why once the games out its depressing for the dev reading comments from users who moan when a games too expensive at $2 etc ! I dread to see how some of these people act at Xmas ! 'I want my present now, i dont want to wait till the 25th...'
Yep,It's quite weird since they are reluctant to pay even 7$ for some these games on a device that's worth what 700-800$.
Because most of the time the games aren't even worth that much, first of all... Of course people are gonna expect a sale, that's the usual thing on the iOS platform. What, are you happy to spend even more money after spending 700-800$ , including monthly fees if you want internet, and basic services for the phone that are DECENT. The effort put into apps sometimes are worth less than a buck, with all the insta-crashes I've encountered. Also, you say no right to complain even though it's been five years, it was the developers' ideas to post it over that time. No one expects a mobile game to take that long. People nowadays like more information on the game through development, maybe that would help? Even though it seems like a lack of communication...
guys lets calm down and wait for the game or new infos! tato has been very busy latelyi dont think he'll be there soon... he's been talking to us (testers) lately via someone else. may be its good sign!
I'm not denyin shovel ware or that you or anyone else on the forums is like that. Some apps do suffer from the freemium attitude kodp is a good example. The game had poor sales only because it wasn't free. I never said anything about anyone's right to complain/criticise anything.
I wasn't complaining/criticising, I was merely explaining your wonder towards all the impatience from others on the forum.
Well there's the drama forum, which no longer exists and was deemed as spam. but that's the kind of drama you can expect from a quality game unfortunately.
@Annomation,I'm not surprised at impatience of ta users,I've only been here for a few months on the other hand you guys have been waiting for it for years,I can understand the frustration there. My comment was for people who are reluctant to buy anything which costs over 2$ no matter good or bad it is,I think I saw one guy complaining as to how Bh:legacy wasn't free.
How are fees and other crap developer's faults to justify the iOS comunity being cheap dbags? You forgot to mention how that gives you the right to complain. It doesn't. PS: You know who DOES deserve this kind of complaining in his doorstep? The likes of Hideo Kojima for cheap marketing ploys of pricing a 2 hour demo half price of a full game, those people deserve the whining you get in these threads. Lols you may wanna visit the Batman V Superman thread in the Sideshow freaks boards haha, or the MGSV thread too. You're in for a ride on those threads XD
I understand all your concerns believe me when i say Tato and his team are working and polishing every part of the game to make it perfect.
