Im one of betatester that have ipad3 .. So far so good... Graphics are amazing... Best ios horror game.. Just wait for the final version.. It will blow you away
Man, 60 fps while pushing such visuals sounds to good to be true. Hope the release isn't too far away.
@johnny101:nothing,you guys are the first to know things about the game, everything that I'm allowed to say and share with you,and without derailing the thread I think like you,I really don't understand why EA don't put out other game of DEAD SPACE saga cause on iOS it's sell millions of copy, not to talk of the downloads..it make no sense..but when you have in you're hand FORGOTTEN MEMORIES It will make you forget DEAD SPACE for quite a bit of time
it was amazing also for me,for The fact that i've an iPhone 5,and for such grapchics and visual, but you had to believe thati'm going near to 62 FPS at MAX..and with all graphics effects on,it's amazing man
And there's some minor visual improvements for the final version, you should get even higher rendering speeds & smoothness! Too bad the display hardware won't let you see more! ^^
Yeah, that's a good point actually. What would it run it without the iOS limit of 60? Probably something ridiculously high
Hard to say, even with Apple Instruments we can't measure due to hardware refresh rate being locked but on development computers, it ranges between 400-700fps. But yeah, those are desktop computers. ^^
Well, that's even more ridiculously higher than I anticipated. That's one hell of an engine underneath.
We've replaced Unity renderer with ours, I've wrote the rendering system from scratch and it's a combination of multiple RenderTextures and stencil operations, it's a mini g-buffer (also called deferred buffers). Lighting model is also customized and more efficient. All our custom rendering techniques are approximated next-gen rendering techniques. That's why it looks so good while rendering so fast.
Hard to tell but as soon as current issues found by testers are fixed we'll submit the game for review.
No,no,and no,when Duke Nukem Forever after 10+years in developers, was near to be' released,my hype was "wow"but when came out really,i remember my hype goes down, and i says:all this time for this? Really disappointed, but this it's not The case of FORGOTTEN MEMORIES, my hype its The same cause i can't wait it's hit The app store, and i played him 5-6 hours every days, sounds good?
The game already runs extremely fast and smooth with killer graphics even on low end devices. Other than fixing current reported bugs by our testers it's already optimized.
http://www.indiedb.com/games/forgotten-memories/news/forgotten-memories-trailer-artworks Why people call it indie? It's a big game with big size 4 GB
Indie game doesn't mean small game. It means independent (self funded, self published) game. However, it's true that most of indie games are small games or tiny games (it doesn't mean either they are bad). Our game is big because it have a hellish amount of content. Cheers,
Which version is beta tested now? The "Prologe" one or the final one which includes the complete story? 4GB is the final paid game, right?
It's the pilot episode and it weights more than 1GB. Each episode is around ~1.5GBs though. PS: The upcoming episodes are heavily in development atm.
