Updates........ Recently I came across this game and was very interested in knowing more about it. But through reading most of the thread I noticed that it kept getting pushed back constantly with a supposed release date but never truly keeping promise of its status. I am not mad at the developer for the uncertainty but I am disappointed that nothing has been done to clear up the confusion and uncertainty. I am no developer so I do not know the stress and headaches of being one, but the responses here only further suggest that something else is going on with this game that may or may not have to do with bugs and only bugs. I am sure that bug issues are one factor but I get the feeling that something much more complex is preventing the game from seeing the light of day on the app store. Why keep pushing it back for almost three years straight with only the same response "bug issues". I really wish the best for the developer in getting his game released but don't announce a release date until it is certain. Do not be afraid Tato to tell us fans what the REAL issue is. I know I will support you either way. I hope everything goes well in the long run.
I'm not mad either, but it would be a real shame if this game is not released, the way it looks, could be (or could have been) at the top of the horror games on iOS.
The truth would be awesome. I'm assuming the next post from tato will be a release date or the truth that it's not coming out, or we might never hear from tato again.
Honestly the truth would be the best response at this point. Playing this game of release date and then pushed again only makes it sound as if the game is not going anywhere. If the game is going through major changes Tato should just say so. If it is cancelled (I hope not) Tato should just say so. He is only making fans upset more with this little excuse. I checked the website for this game and supposedly they are planning for a PS Vita release as well though I don't know if it is reliable or not. We all just want clarification that is all (aimed at Tato).
Since Tato is using the Unity engine and Unity PSM (playstation mobile) hasn't even hit beta yet, I'd assume that it may be planned but it's not being worked on.
So the dev delays the game a million times and then say "as an apologize for this many delays I'll release a demo soon so you can at least taste a little of the game this year", and then delays the demo to next year? You guys are being trolled so hard, lol.
This is what Tato said: 'The episode VITA version is almost ready but PSN submissions it's very different from AppStore submissions. I can't tell you exactly how much time...'
It's funny how people are loving shattered memories more than when it first came out. I love the game as we'll and have it on my PSVita. The only Silent Hill I dislike is Homecoming. Even 4 The Room was a bit better and had it's terrifying moments. Homecoming was a big fail in everything. And I've tried many times to try to like it. As for this game I'll just keep waiting to see what happens.
Really? I'm oblivious to the general opinion, I loved it since I 1st played it, it was a different approach to the story, more psychologically palpable and personal, it has it's own thing going on though, still love the original.
I enjoyed both Origins and Shattered Memories on the PSP. Yes, Origins. I don't understand why many people hated that game.
Me neither, Origins was closer to the original experience than any recent SH game, plus it had great lighting and mood.
Maybe it's because the Silent Hill hardcore fanbase has moved on, but new folks still discover Shattered Memories and realize how awesome it is I can't remember why I stopped playing Homecoming, but I did enjoy my time with it. I think the breakable weapons pissed me off. I always hate that in games. I played through most of Origins on the PSP (courtesy of my Vita <3), but I forgot why I stopped playing that as well. I got to the Motel area, and I think the game just got too hard for me. Those stupid blob cows that would attack me from off-screen... that's right. Now I remember Game got too frustrating, but it was amazing up until that point. Silent Hill: Downpour is pretty amazing. I loved that game.
Finally Someone mention SILENT HILLOWNPOUR..after The fail of SH:HOMECOMING,DOWNPOUR has brought new life to the consoles for what concerned SILENT HILL,or,for The old fans like me,has been a pleasure replay SILENT HILL 2 DIRECTOR'S CUT HD on my PS3,it's my favourite SILENT HILL Of all time..
Silent Hill Downpour is one of my top favorites close to my top favorites. Origins is amazing I always loved that game. Really underrated. Downpour was almost a 9 for me but that bug issues and lame enemies took out that one point and made it a 8. Still amazing game and as emotional as 2. SM is one of my favorites when t comes to its psychological aspect and absent combat. I would love if Climax made another SH as Origins and SM were amazing for two games they made.
I didn't have any problems with Origins, except with the scary monsters of the theater . The only thing I didn't get in the game was the achievement for completing the game without saving, not because it was too difficult (with the weapons you get by completing those achievements you can kill even the last boss in three shots) but because I already replayed it a lot to get the other achievements so I got bored.
