Yes, the devices you've listed are capable of running the entire game @60fps with everything maxed out and crazy resolutions. As soon as we are done with the Vita version of the Pilot Episode (which is currently in the works) we'll work out the Android version. Keep in mind that FM is already compatible with Android but we need a hellish amount of devices (and time) to playtest properly, make sure it runs blazing fast and enhance the game even more on powerful devices such the ones you listed.
I don't think it's considered a demo anymore. It's essentially what the Tanker mission was to the entire game of Metal Gear Solid 2... or more futurely, what Ground Zeroes is to Phantom Pain... or even better, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is to Gran Turismo 5. It started out as a demo, but it sounds like it has enough content that they will market it as a full game, it's just a prologue to the full Forgotten Memories.
2013 is almost over tato. make it hurry, my mini retina is starving for a graphic intense game like this i hope AR and GTA Sa can be my early christmas present this year
This is not good guys. Especially considering that apple shuts down shortly for the holidays. I will be shocked to get this before the new year which really sucks.
Apple is shutting down earlier than expected this year, a week before the usual date I believe. Next Wednesday will be a huge release, this game won't come to next year. Unfortunate I've only commented here once or twice but have been following for a year or so. It'll be a nice introduction into 2014 though. Hopefully this will come out before Titan fall!
What's confirmed. The real ease or the apple shut down. It must be the shutdown because tato never gave us a date
Great, another companies, development and gaming "expert", just what the forum needs. I'm very excited for your own game now. I'm sure the development will run perfectly perfectly smoothly and on schedule. I'm sure your finance will come through in full on time every time. I'm sure the game will be perfect in every way and completely bug free at every test run. I'm sure. You seem to have misunderstood a few things though or just interpreted them as you saw fit. The thread is in the "upcoming" section, so while they may be ambitious about release and have encountered unforeseen problems, there still has been no official release date announced, merely estimates and aimed for time scales. That still doesn't equate to an official release date being announced and missed or anybody lied to. No customers have been harmed during the development of this game. It's had no customers yet. And while they may have been ambitious on release timescales, the game itself has not been misrepresented. The screen and videos speak for themselves. They are unique works and the property of the company and represent the final product. If anything they can be criticised for, its having shared far too much info over the development period with this thread, something I personally wouldn't recommend for any developer in light of the reaction of certain people, the lifting of the veil of civility of contemporary society and the baseless nature of the criticisms demonstrated. And again even though their timescales are ambitious, they obviously have a passion for the project and a keen interest to share that passion with the forum, something the forum readers should be grateful for above anything else. If anything, beyond the game itself, the thread has given a very useful and valuable insight into game development, its hurdles and complications and a developers intent and ambition to overcome those hurdles and release the best product possible. The reaction of people is no fault of theirs though, that more shows that the Internet is not a friendly place and that anonymity will always bring out the worst in people. It still never cease to amaze how people with no actual vested interest, perspective or true concept or context of a scenario feel a need to voice their negative opinion of said scenario on the Internet and in the process claim their own expertise on related or respective scenarios. Said people should educate themselves themselves and have a look at "Indie Game The Movie". It might give them insight into an independent developers mindset, the issues and events that change timescales and the sometimes protracted and difficult development period that some games go through. Phil also gives an insight into the effect that some so called "experts" who comment on forums and social media can have and it certainly isn't its encouragement. Perhaps those people should take a step back, wait for the final product on its actual official release date. They actually have no vested interest that is in any way comparable to the developers who is obviously simply trying to make the best game they can under what appears to not be easy circumstances that yet have not diminished their desire for perfectionism so these criticisms from people is about the most null thing about it as they have no basis for the criticism in the first place beyond their own impatience and dissatisfaction of their internal id.
So I am a game developer myself and our game is currently on hold and hopefully we will find the time to finish it 2015 or whenever. That happens to many independant developers (Shadow Sun is finally out - yeah!) and many games never make it because the developers just can't find the time or funds. The difference here is we are talking about a company that obviously has someone paying for their work for quite some years now. So I am happy for them their publisher or whatever to call them has unlimited funds and patience (or in the best case confidence because they can see how talented the team is and how good the game turns out). That is after all not our business (although tato like to share, which I can understand). But for being angry at broken promise after broken promise you don't need to be a game developer yourself. I myseld don't care too much, I am old and being involved and addicted to development of one game like some here are isn't my cup of tea anymore. For those I really hope this game turns out as good as Tato make it sound and as many here believe. But beyond very impressive graphics I haven't seen much to convince me. Who needs a 9min video of someone running through a snowstorm? The message of how graphically impressive the effect is came through after like 10 seconds. The point? "A little less conversation a little more action baby!" Tato seems to have understood that finally (although the damage ist done), now we need to hope we won't see another broken promise and an episode before christmas.
I get what you mean Rip, but everything has 2 sides, and i highlighted above what couldve been done in both sides to prevent all the drama and fun in this thread.
