On the vita you get the best of two worlds (gamepad + touchscreen controls). In fact, on the vita you can either play only with physical buttons or directly on your touch screen (or both).
oh boy(keep pressing the replay button)... ps. tato i really hope the free FM version can reach the App Store at the same time i received my iPad air or.... ........i'll kill a puppy
Yeah, well, let´s see when the mini episode comes out still, I'm graduating on november, so I wont have much time to play anything until then. I wonder if you could post a video showing some outdoor exploration, Im curious to see how it looks like now.
When you'll receive your iPadAir? I believe before November 15th it should be live on the store but don't take it as an exact official date, Apple reviews is always different.
Tato, I take a leave of absence for a week and look at all these new videos and pics Hair looks excellent for a game, 5x more for mobile. Facial expressions are a great touch, don't think I've seen anything that dynamic on iOS yet. Still in awe over the lighting and the shadows the flashlight casts. Rockstar should've hired you to port their piece-of-crap PC port that is GTA IV Love the flies around the candles. I hope as much detail is being put into sound design, too.
You know what I would like to do when FM is finished? I would love to do a survival horror classic remake on the Vita/Mobile. Or at least license some big name game (RE, SH, Haunting Grounds, etc) and do something new with our F.O.G engine. Let's see first how fans respond to FM, cause if they want more FM, we still have room to bring more prequels/sequels on FM. Cheers,
Would be perfect with the duration like the one you just posted I think its enough. I remember the foliage effect you mentioned some time ago, we saw it on some videos, but most of them where indoor places, Im really curious to see a little more on outdoor, as most of the guys here X)
All great games took time, years to be done, for me, the more a game takes to be released, the better it gets, FM is in the same way, the progress it made, and the heart you put in this game is touching. It would be great to see you guys doing some remake, but in my humble opinion, I think that prequels/sequels for FM would be even better, it's original, your creation, the game didn't even released and we can feel that it will be a masterpiece, just with what you showed us. Old school gamers know that this kind of passion is what we miss the most nowadays.
Quite hard to tell for Android devices, I've only made few tests so far, but if you get the equivalent of an iPhone5 (or 5S) you'll have everything maxed out. Also it'll let you enable advanced graphical effects on the options menu (it will make the game shine and looks even better).
Video still uploading... This time the video is bigger than the one on the previous page. Almost seven minutes walking on a blizzard storm (in one of the many huge outside areas)! I even had to cut it down cause it took me 15 minutes to walk from side to side (also got lost a bit).
Wait...did I miss something here? I thought this was just gonna be an iOS/Vita/PS3 release. When was Android added to the mix? Will it be released simultaneously with the iOS version? inb4releasedatejokes
You should actually get it, last gen and even current gen Android devices are notorous fast compared to Apple ones but I actually like Apples cause stability and drivers quality come first. Android games are notorious for being slow with powerful hardware for a number of reasons (most of the time are hardware bugs related). As for the Vita comparisons, it have fast GPU ram (and CPU ram too) which can get mixed up. Also there's less process running on the vita and you are actually closer to the metal with the Vita.
Android was always planned for FM but not on the first release and the reason is: we need a gazillion bunch of devices and time to properly test the Android version. That's why It was left in the dust. But it's planned and we'll get there as soon as the Vita / iOS / Wii U version came out.
FM is quite heavy and graphical hungry, specially for memory, so unfortunately no. Still if we ever make a retro-like survival horror game with F.O.G down the line , it'll be eventually supported. But hard to tell now.
Seven minutes walking on a blizzard storm (in one of the many huge outside areas)! I even had to cut it down cause it took me 15 minutes to walk from side to side (also got lost a bit and didn't wanted to spoil). So nothing special to see, besides a snow blizzard in the middle of nowhere. As soon as the free episode will be published, we'll make more videos from newer areas never seen before (outdoors and indoors). Enjoy the storm! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
It's actually on the Editor but with iPhone5 quality settings. Still the video was too big and Youtube made an other compression sh*tty job. :\ Anyway, that level still being worked on and there will be more videos in the near future.
