Demo, demo, demo!!! Ahh... and waiting for these images Do you expect that demo will be out around the end of this month? Sorry for the massive questions, but i'm in love with this game!
Yes, we will have something to showcase by that time. Be patient, every day is one day closer to the demo. ^^ Cheers,
Ok Certainly, has your team been thinking the possibility of using new Unreal Engine for future projects? What do you think about this engine?
Impressed, Not by the pixel shading techniques (as Unity already have similar pixel shaders techniques) but the amount of data and high quality textures on screen. I'm not sure if assets are streamed in real time but i was really impressed on that part. However, Unity use the same technology to make offline rendering (Beast) and the same Occlusion culling system (Umbra). But you know, Unreal Engine is Unreal Engine, is a better middleware. ^^ I personally love it (quite a lot, quite too much ^^), being working with Epic tools for a long time, is definitely something to look for in the near future. Now if the license pricing is good enough for a small studio like us, we will surely use it on our next project. No doubt! ^^ Forgotten Memories 2. Cheers,
I'm sure the success of your hard work with this FM will make possible a sequel Btw, I have mentioned the UE3 for the low cost ( for other platforms is one of the cheaper), but the results of Unity are pretty good, incredible. Each time I see the textures used in page 9 man... it's unbelievable!
All these fancy pretty stuff could be doable with Unity Engine pretty easy. Except maybe for the terrain Engine (Unity iPhone currently do not support Terrain engine) , if you need terrain you must model it as a regular mesh but theses are stuff coming into Unity Engine for the 3.x version. As you can see Forgotten Memories looks pretty cool for an iPhone game, is completely build using Unity Engine 3.0. We use the same Offline rendering as seen in Unreal Engine Epic Citadel, is called Beast rendering we also have Umbra occlusion culling (the one integrated in Unreal Engine). Theirs no need to cry out right now. The only stuff that really miss Unity is AI, but that we've already take care off. ^^ Cheers,
We have plans for a total new revamped (from the ground up) Dead Strike sequel. But this time not a simple zombie shooter like DS1. I'm talking about a real zombie horror (a la old-school Resident Evil) with actions and lots of interactivity. But it wont come right now. Atm, DS2 is just few pages of papers, just design plans if you know what i mean. Once FM is 100% finished, we will see what fans are really looking for, FM2 or DS2? As both are completely different games. Time will tell. Cheers,
You should also make this for the ps3 and xbox because i think a game with such a story is much more fun on the consoles because i find i can get into it easier on a larger screen. If you sold it on the play station store i would easily buy it for $15-20.
We gonna send Forgotten Memories (later on) for a XBLA review test. If everything goes fine, you should expect it on consoles too, mid-late 2011. But, don't tell anybody, is a secret.
wowowow I really hope you guys flesh everything out and test it well. I really hope it gets on XBLA, I'd definetly rather play it on my xbox than my iphone.
If everything goes well ( I'm sure of it), don't loose your main objetives: make good games. It's too soon for speak about this, but many companies look for money instead of elaborate a great game. Regarding the second parts of thr games... yeah, a Dead Strike game with a solid plot can be... ufff. Nowadays, I hope another Resident Evil 4 yet. Oh, wait... a George A. Romero movies game style, but with an story! Ahh, I wish you have success with consoles and non-appletouch platforms
I can't guarantee if we will be able to release it on every console (X360 and PS3). Technology-wise is not a problem. That will mostly depends on Microsoft and Sony. If they have any open slots on their calendar for digital release titles. But rest in peace it should come (at least) to one console. We always like "Core" games vs "Casual" games. We love "High quality" small games vs "poor quality" big games. And that's our main focus. Cheers,
This games gonna be bangin because its not asian and shit. I trust everyone has already purchased Amnesia: Dark Descent on steam or gamersgate.com. Its only 20 dollars and its perhaps one of the best survival horror games on the market to date for mac and the PC (for the morons). -jizzinmypants
I played the demo - it was awesome. The only issue was that frame rate seemed a bit low with everything turned up on my one year old macbook pro - albeit, that's not the highest end mac and all options were turned up. Anyway, if I find myself with free time and finished some of my other games, I'll definitely buy it.
