So the Vita (and Wii U) engines are already complete? I assume it looks very well on Vita with its relatively low resolution and excellent hardware - right?! Would rather play this with buttons/sticks if the release date is close to that of the iOS version.
Vita is almost ready, Wii U requires some additional work due to dual display and single display (full streaming in your gamepad). For the episode, it would be iOS (very soon), following with Vita and then Wii U. For the final version the launch would be Vita, iOS and Wii U and then the rest of platforms will follow.
You probably have hundred's of thousands of dollars that will be yours when the full game releases. I hope to see it soon. You got my money
Will the Demo be out on VITA shortly after iOS? Ans please do not do episodes. That seems like a lame cash grab, and most of the time blows up in companies face when people find the first episode too slow, not realizing the fun stuff usually happens in the middle and climax of a narrative. So episodic...probably a bad choice.
I agree doing episodes is lame. I do appreciate the demo coming out to give us a taste. I was under the impression that the demo would be out this month at the latest and the full game out by December 2013? Tato, you know I'm a big supporter of your games but doing episodes would be wrong. People always prefer to have the full game.
The episode VITA version is almost ready but PSN submissions it's very different from AppStore submissions. I can't tell you exactly how much time it would take but it's safe to say "a couple of weeks after the iOS launch". Still, I'll make the announcement here two weeks before launching on PSN.
The new trailer looks amazing, one criticism I have is that the main character's design is the weakest of any design in the game. Looks like you guys put a lot of effort into the creatures but sort of just decided to make her an exact female replica of Leon Kennedy...specifically Leon Kennedy from the cancelled Resident Evil 3.5. Even the way she holds her flashlight is reminiscent of the 3.5 RE http://cubemedia.ign.com/cube/image/re4cube_092603_x6.jpg
nononono tato please dont make it go by episodes, full game is better !! and plus i dont wanna keep paying for the episodes please just make it one full game
To further elaborate on the "character design" issues. I think the environments are of such notability that the blandness of the character's outfit will distract. You may only look at the moths flying by the flames one time "amazing touch by the way" but we will be looking at that character model the entire game. I think that is something you should consider. Nobody wears turtlenecks anymore, let alone Puce (the color) Parkas, and if you take a page out of the Aya Brea book of character design/animation, I feel people will respond better to her. Not that she needs to be sexed up, just more, well..believable. I have a hard time believing that a strong minded independent woman ( as you described her once as in an interview last year) would dress herself like my grandmother.
The main character it's an inspector, we believe the cloths she's wearing are perfectly fine and the outside temperature (based on Franklin County in the Maine, where temperatures goes really low). But even inside it's cold. You'll notice when she breaths and I can't say why but you'll notice it when playing. However we have three types of cloths that you can unlock and wear on your character as you wish. Plus the game is based on 1980s-90s and the clothing style is very convenient back in that time.
More screenies (Rendered in real-time + some touch ups in Photoshop). Btw, those are the characters you'll be able to play with. Each one having different abilities, strengths and weakness.
