Did you build the demo with unity 4.2? I normally hold off a while before upgrading better to wait till 4.2.1?

So this demo is still definitely being released this month? Will there be a release date in this trailer?

    Tato,

Any update if the iPod 4G will be supported for the full game, or is that looking like a pipe dream? You're going to make me go buy a new iPad for this game aren't you :D

We are actually using an internal build (an upcoming version that I cannot discuss over here). But it's quite stable. Our F.O.G Engine is build on top of it. :)

Only for high-end mobile devices (such as iPhone5 and iPad4 or any upcoming one). You still be able to enable such thing using the dev console on mid-range devices at the risk of playing the game at 15fps. It's up to you. ^^

It's a bit early to confirm for the iPod Touch. We need to optimize a huge amount of assets for it to fit properly on 256MB (well, less than 196MBs to be more precise).
Right now, we have a memory issue with the iTouch4 (and it's quite normal due to the fact that game scenes are heavy). However, the issue is only memory, as the game itself runs pretty fast (with everything turned off). We will continue to optimize it but don't hold your breath on it. Better have at least an iPhone4 (which have twice the amount of ram as an iTouch4).

If you can afford a new iOS device, iTouch5 or iPadMini, that would be more than enough to play with almost everything maxed out at flat 30fps. Thought, No-HDR, DOF, SSAO and MotionBlur for such mid-range devices. The rest of effects are on, including dynamic shadows, pixel lighting, some post-effects and AA (+ full retina oh yeah!).
Low-Range: iPhone4/touch4(to be confirmed later on for the iTouch4).
    Mid-Range: iPhone4S, iTouch5, iPad2, iPadMini.
    High-Range: iPhone5, iPad4 (iPad3 sits between Mid-Range and High-Range) and or anything above that (future iPads/iPhones/iTouches).

PS: I got the impression that I write English the same way I write code (let me know if you got it right). ^^

Thanks Tato, this is a perfect explanation.

Btw, are you pumped for the new Amnesia, a machine for pigs coming out in October? I know I am.

Q1 2014, as soon as we release the final version, we'll start porting it out to Android devices. The huge problem with such platform is the fragmentation. We need gazillions devices to try out and we need more time to test them out. That's why we are leaving Android for the end. But it'll eventually come yes. :)

Final release date, later this year. Release date of the small episode well, the game it's currently being reviewed by Apple, hopefully within two weeks, but something it's telling me that we'll have to do a second submission.
Btw, there's a teaser for the small episode coming this week. Stay tuned for more! ;)

The day you said it was submitted I told my girlfriend that "I guarantee you that this game will be rejected and will have to wait another month or two" Thats just the way things have been going with this game. Im kind of use to it after all these years but hopefully SOON will get to play it. What is making you think you have to resubmit Tato? I have to admit its getting a little annoying to be told a date and the date goes by with no game. I know development is hard and crap hsppens but you did say that this would be out by the end of the month.

Because it's hard to get approved on the first submission. There's always bugs or guidelines to meet (found by Apple review staff).
Sorry if you can't wait anymore.

It's not that I can't wait. It's being told something that's not true. You said it would be out in August. Now it's submitted and its like you know already its going to be rejected. Tato, I'm not here to beat you up. I've been an active member here for years. I just don't appreciate the fact that on many occasions you've stated dates and each and every time they fall threw. It's not right and touch arcade should step in and stop you from saying anything pertaining to a release dates. Or maybe just shut this thread down until release. I apologize to my fellow members but I'm just so tired of the blown release dates. It's beyond anything I've ever seen in any game thread. I'll still buy the game on release but I'm done with this thread until a release.

Or how about you realize that Tato is being extremely kind to interact with us to this degree during the game's development, and take all dates mentioned with a grain of salt. Development is extremely unpredictable, and often things go wrong that are out of his and his team's control. If you've been on the iOS scene for any amount of time, you should know that Apple approvals are quite fickle and downright bizarre at times.

I disagree but i cannot blame fastbridge for saying that because of how often delays happen. i went through that already .JBRUU no mater how you support tato there'll come a point where you're just gonna be so pissed off. but eventually after months you forgive him because as a mater of fact the game does look freakin' awesome!! seeing how long you've been here i'm sure this already happened to u!! In fact no one would be suprised if the game get released in 2016. anyway the solution is just to stay away from the thread for a moment and come back if you want after. but there's nothing more sure than the fact that everyone in there's gonna get the game on day one!!

I never said the game will be available in August. I've clearly said that we'll make the submission in August (which is already done).
    Cheers,

I'm actually pretty sure you said the game would not be available in August.
There was reference to gamescon, a trailer reference and a hope for September.
So no worries on my side anyway.
Especially as you referenced the Apple review process which is an interesting challenge all of its own:)

Its all good when its ready, its ready. I think you've spoiled the audience a bit too much with the level of forum interaction which is extremely rare in any circumstance. I actually get less communication from engineers when I'm working on something with them than you're interaction here.

Either way, keep going. We'll be satisfied soon enough with the mini episode/demo and then the full game.

Patience is a very valuable and useful virtue.

Tatoforever, take your time. I am just a video game player that wants to play a good game. I am pretty sure everyone is and wants the same thing as me. I am going to buy the game when it comes out. Until then... Just make a great game that people are going to enjoy tatoforever.
