That looks utterly fantastic! The dynamic lighting, the audio, the texture work, the whole ambience - all amazing. A couple questions - what happens when you get hit by one of those monsters/ghosts? Do you have a limited amount of health or is it more like Gameloft's FPS games in which you can't get hit too many times consecutively? Or something else? Also, have you thought about making the interactions with ghosts more like it is in Amnesia? Afterall, it doesn't really make sense that you could kill a ghost with bullets. If it was a corporeal monster, that would be different. In any case, great work! You guys have a game changer here!
Tanks, Well, you have an invisible health bar shown by the screen saturation, which goes from Black&White = 0 to Full screen colors = 100%. It was showcased in the graphical highlight video (at the end of the video the character is almost killed). And no, you need to find items to heal yourself. Even the flashlight needs to be recharged (light areas or batteries). The character stamina recovers automatically (if you run too much or does a lot of melee combos it drains your stamina quickly, there's also others factors that affect the stamina) but you can take some items to boost it. Why? Because running is very important in this game. Btw, the character shown in that video is a dark specter, we do have ghosts (which have a similar interaction as ghosts in Fatal Frame Series), abominations as in SH games and stuff like that. So it really goes from physical things all way up to ghostly/invisible things. They will be showcased in a upcoming video.

Don't worry, it won't happen. It would be a fully featured game with a competitive premium price. Nothing will be sold separately or in parts. In the next video we will show more gameplay stuff (as how puzzles and riddles works) in FM, more environments, enemies and bosses.
Yes I assumed you weren't going to be that generous I did notice that about 8 seconds in you can just see a shadow of a girl in the top left. A spooky addition maybe? Or is she in the classic t animation pose waiting to be turned on. Your volume shadows seem to be working well What the cost in performance?
Yeah, I'm actually doing all my gameplay-testing in that huge scene as other members of the team are currently updating the rest of the environments. So characters shaders, particles and all that stuff are in that scene mixed up (i forgot to turn that lady off). ^^ The shadows aren't volume shadows, it's actually our own lighting and shadows system (using shadowmapping). Wish Idegian wasn't banned so I could see him try and explain how this is fake. I'm not going to be posting much if at all in the near future, but I will be following this thread and one or two other upcoming releases closely. Very impressive as usual, Tato. What device was that on? Framerate seems rock solid. I also noticed Rose picked up some coffee beans, is there some sort of crafting/loot system or can those be eaten/drank for health? Or is this all a "you'll see soon" series of questions After RR3's descent into the f2p hell, I'm very happy to hear again that this won't be following that route. I just sincerely hope that that choice is still financially viable, and that you work as hard on anti piracy (there are ways to make apps difficult to pirate, and there is in fact one app that has never been pirated as far as I know) as you are on this game. A suggestion? Though it's still possible and even just as easy to steal, most people don't know that IAP can be cracked. So how about making FM a free download/demo with an IAP to unlock the full game? Just a thought. I really don't like the idea of this getting a 50% piracy rate like other popular games have had.

Let me answer first the most important point. ^^ The pricing model is something we are thinking and discussing with Apple right now. In case we go the other route (to avoid being pirated) nothing will be changed, you'll play the first 15-30 minutes freely and unlock the entire game for a premium price. Still we are internally discussing this right now. The coffee beans it's for a coffee machine puzzle, you can't drink it. However you can drink other stuff to boost energy and stamina. ^^ Again I'll showcase all that stuff in a near-future video soon. Tanks for being patient!
