Hey everyone, I had a moment spare so I wanted to make a FMN wallpaper. If you guys like it, I might make a more detailed one with more enemies etc!
Jeanreno: aaaaaaaa that's so cool love it. In FMN news, I've finally got most of the update done.. the iOS version now has an "arcade" mode which is the same as the PC/Mac versions. It can basically be seen as "hard mode" - difficulty ramps up a lot quicker, movement is faster, the lights go off when time runs out, etc. All modes have the new enemies, balancing tweaks, bonus fruit, etc. (edit: the original standard, survival and shuffle modes are still there of course) The current, 1st era leaderboards will be locked (but not removed) in the update. Anyone on them will have their scores preserved in glory forever! There will be all new, crisp and shiny leaderboards. Just adding a couple other new modes and iCade support, then after a bit of testing it'll be ready to submit. Thanks for your patience. The two other new modes are very much aimed at high score chasing. Well, the whole rest of the game is too, but, yeah Here's what they are at the moment (things may end up tweaked a bit): Seed mode - Everyone gets the same set of procedurally generated dungeons, which only changes once per day instead of every time you start a new game. You can keep replaying that same dungeon until it changes at midnight. The idea of this was to make a "fairer" mode where everyone has the exact same scoring possibilities.. I don't know if it really has a point or what though.. maybe it needs a little something extra to differentiate it from the other modes..hmm... Arena mode - you get one big level, and that's it. There's no door. You're trapped! Survive as long as possible. Enemies keep spawning in, flowers keep growing back, walls get more and more blasted away.... I'm thinking of giving this the same "seed" style where everyone gets the same daily level... not sure yet.

I think the idea behind "seed mode" is amazing, and should be worked into all the modes instead of being a separate mode (possibly with the exception of arcade if you want to keep that feeling of, well, arcade randomness).
The new modes sound awesome. I'm actually more intriqued by the Arena mode (mainly because I'll never be good enough to make the leaderboards anyway). But it is a cool idea to have different level generations each day, but the same for every player. Definately will make it more fair for those leaderboard go-getters.
Just want to put in a vote AGAINST fixed seed Arena. While I think the Seed mode would add an interesting variant, I far prefer my FMN all random on every go and therefore hope this very fun sounding Arena mode either won't follow suit. Maybe the player can choise Daily Seed or Random for each run?
Great news on the update.. Any chance you could tidy up the icon a bit.. As in, remove the shiny semi circle coming down from the top... I hate those things Looking forward to the update , don't suppose you have added achievements ?
Yeah, I've been playing/testing daily seeded arena mode heaps, and can't wait for tomorrow so the level changes, so I think you're right Easy enough to add random/daily seed, but it means more leaderboards and menu items cluttering things up, so I'll probably just keep Arena random. (It's still somewhat equalised because Arena levels are always the same size). Arena gets pretty intense. It's nothing wildly different, still mostly the same ol' FMN, but fun for a quick blast. I'm not having a separate arcade mode after all, in favour of an "original"/"arcade" setting, which means you can play all modes with either setting (with separate leaderboards for each). Much nicer, because I love the extra speed/etc of arcade mode now, but it might be too hard for some people at first! Ah, yes, I've removed the shiny stuff from the icon. I prefer it without too I haven't added achievements though, sorry. I'll think about it and see if I come up with any good ones, and have enough time

Great to see that the developer is planning on an update. Hopefully the personal situation is improving and will continue to improve. Best of luck Nyarla! I personally believe this is one of the 10 best games of the year and I wish you success on this and any future projects.
Using a fully updated iPhone 4, when Forget-Me-Not gets interrupted by a call, it resumes with no audio. Not a big deal, really, but I figured I'd mention it. I rarely get called, and ET could count on one hand the number of times I've been called mid game, so it's not something I stress over. Forget-Me-Not's been growing on me lately. It was always at least okay, but now it's one of my favorites.
Baron Cappuccino: Oops, sorry, I didn't see your post until just now. Doh.. that bug again! I thought I'd fixed it but guess not. Thanks for letting me know. In other news.. FINALLY... (thanks to my friend Mike for the pic) I've submitted the FMN update. I have a feeling I was slightly too late to get in before Apple shut down over Christmas unfortunately, but you never know... Here's what's new: ..and of course iCade support, though apparently you're not meant to mention that in the descriptive text. Even though lots of games do.
Finally! This little gem was waiting for an update for months on my iPhone. Looking forward to trying it out. Thank you for the update!
