also with the flowers you have gathered could you unlock different looking squares that would be cool like say a yellow one or one with sunglasses anyway just a thought
Another possible slight glitch. My last flower was in a little alcove in the wall, which had been covered by the enemies who excrete a trail of stuff you have to destroy. Couldn't turn to destroy it because the trail acted like an extension of the wall. I think I eventually destroyed it with a bomb or something, but in the absence of luck I would have been screwed.
Top score on Standard is 316,000. Gonna give survival a try. EDIT: Died immediately Then got a half respectable 61,000.
I quite like the fact the game requires a little bit of experimentation, retro games did that a lot. It added another level of fun into games that isn't seen anymore.
I play survival only. Since the high scores are still realistic there (Madgarden and Blake, I'm yealous ^^) Also, the survival sessions are short enough to play just another round, and another, and... damn addicting.
eek, that shouldn't happen! thanks for letting me know ah, that's a situation where wall grinding would come in handy. if you're charged up from grinding you can just bash through that goop stuff. yep as hamster787 said, it's been submitted. i still haven't heard anything from Apple.. will post here when i do.
Finally! 122,375 in survival mode for #2. It took many attempts both saturday and Sunday, but at least now I can manage the power-up without bursting very often.
I have a suggestion - get rid of wall grinding and replace with powerups around the level to compensate. Just my thoughts.....
Why? The grinding makes a huge part of the fun. It was fantastic exploring it (forgot to read the instructions) and it's great practicing to get better and better.
Nah, wall grinding is cool! It's one of the main mechanics! My brain keeps doing wall grinds as I'm going to sleep if I play FMN before bed now... You almost never have to do it though.. it's just an extra layer of gameplay, so don't worry too much if you don't get it. Perhaps it'll click after awhile. Sorry if I haven't managed to explain how to do it properly, it seems quite hard to put into words...
Wall grinding adds an extra skill element to the gameplay. Easy to do, but difficult to master. Almost like drifting in a racing game, or strafing in a FPS. I love it, and think it adds alot to the gameplay. So many moments where I was inches away from a group of enemies, just as I was close to an over-grind, and I blew up just before I touched them. It was a rush. Just my two cents.
I'm not sure strafing in an FPS is particularly difficult to master. It'd be more difficult playing the game without it
I'm assuming he means games like CS/CSS, where it is a lot harder to properly strafe shoot than in COD games etc. On-topic: Fun game! Trying to get the hang of grinding myself and learning all the enemies while improving my highscore
