before i begin its important to keep an "open mind" and its also EXTREMELY important to stay objective and unbiased throughout the journey im about to send you on. For now just go with the flow....................... Step 1: Watch a bunch of George Calin vids Step 2: watch a few episodes of the daily show if you haven't watched it in a while...... Step 3: watch the zeitgeist movie Step 4: watch the 2nd zeitgeist movie Step 5: watch America: Freedom to Fascism by Aaron Russo Step 6: loosen up a bit; watch a documentary about ganja Step 7: watch "steal this film" part 1 & part 2 Step 8: read "Fast Food Nation" or get the audio book Step 9: watch Food Inc (on netflix if you got it) and while your at it watch Supersize Me if you haven't already..... Step 10: read about concentration of media ownership Step 11: if you have followed all the steps and are witnessing some of the material i have linked to for the first time, i imagine you are feeling quite overwhelmed or a bit shocked. I suggest getting into some deep philosophical teachings so i recommend checking out jkrishnamurti. Make sure to start at "The Dissolution of the Order of the Star speech", then check out some of his vids and last but not least Save the Internet thanks for following along i would love to hear your thoughts and opinions about the content i linked to. Also feel free to link me to any documentaries, books, and/or articles about issues, current events and/or movements that you feel passionate about.
I'm content to live in my own little world created for me by the media. In it, I will worry about petty matters such as Angelina Jolie and Sandra Bullock being caught with the same earring at the Oscars, and locals in a small north-western town stalking up on Doritos for a horrendous 3 hour blizzard. Soon after, I will enter the consumer market and buy things such as scented shaving foam becomes I'm promised to look cool, hip, and be swarmed by woman soon after. I wish to be unexposed to the harsh realities of the world for I may realize that there is more beyond me ego, which will shatter my notion that I am the center of the universe, and thus reduce my entire mental infrastructure to shambles, forcing me to pay $150 an hour to a psychiatrist that will spend his earning on a BMW, with which he will drive home to watch Entertainment Today, continuing the cycle.
It's all great and dandy, I've watched or read quite a few of the things you've posted, but the question still remains: wat do? IMO, most of the problems we face come from the capitalist system. Which is a huge problem seeing as we have yet to think of a better system. And then of course, there's thinking of a plan to implement this new system...
No he's right not a commie. The commits in china wineith the capitalist system and so do insurance companys(pre existing condition)(they have one it's having sh!t coming put of there mouths)
the problem with our beloved capitalistic/free market economic system is that it is based on the monetary system and has evolved into a centralized fractional reserve system which is inherently corrupt by DESIGN, and get this our founding fathers were adamantly against any kind of centralized banking scheme in America, but unfortunately the strong banking interests got what they wanted cuz here we are the great wonderful USA yet we cant even print our own money we actually borrow it from the FED with interest communism; while an interesting concept on paper, it's extremely flawed in execution. It's kinda like a trojan horse in terms of how its designed as an economic/social system; looks like a wonderful idea, sounds like a wonderful idea yet forget to read the fine print but sign it anyways and voila you now have a dictator in total control running your country........ as far as what we can do in terms of changing the world............i could probably write a whole 10 page essay answering that question
ummm, what 'truth' are you reffering too? As I believe I already know some of the truth, WTF is this truth? Im not gonna wath like 10 hours of videos to find some truth to an unknown question
hahahaha fair enough thx for being politically correct its not a truth its more like "the truth" meaning your awareness of reality? or your awareness of whats going on around you? your self awareness? the truth in general of why things are the way they are? idk? whats "the truth" mean to you?
The main problem I see with the capitalist system is that it creates poverty. For it to work, there have to be winners and losers. This then leads on to the question: is there even enough to go around if we spread everything out equally? And if there is, how long will that last till we become overpopulated? (if we aren't already) As for your view on communism, I'm not too sure about it. There is nothing in the 'fine print' that says it must be a dictatorship. The problem lies within human nature, even if you have a small group with power, they will eventually become corrupt, and a dictatorship is likely to form. If we go back to Marxist ideas, this shouldn't even be allowed to happen. The 'state', is supposed to 'wither away' as the society progresses. But again, this can't really happen, as those in power aren't just going to relinquish their power willingly. Because how can we effectively govern ourselves without a leading body if by nature we compete with each other? I for one would be very willing to read your, imo very short at 10 pages, essay on how to change things.
