Oh God.......in any case, this has already been mentioned to be put in the lounge Forerunnerz. You're getting slowwwwwwwww....... And I play my Touch more than my PSP/DS. It rox!
Oh man what if it really cost $600 like they used to.. but yeah if you're 14 and have an iPhone, you might get beaten up, because there's no way your parents aren't paying for that! iTouch on the other-hand, that's what i'd get my nephew or whatever if i had one
So you're telling me that you look cooler shaking, tilting and tapping an iphone/ipod touch over normal pressing buttons on a PSP? Wow just stop being self concious because you play a game system many others do as well and plus none of us are the new Dr.Phil so just do what you want.
Hey, I have/had a touch. Can't come down on me But I agree. I saw a friend with a blackberry storm, and it looked ridiculous. We teens don't need something so heavy-duty. But have you seen those Nintendo commericals?! Grandmothers looks less out of place playing on a DS than I do! If I still had a DS, though, I'd still play it. I was so addiced to Yugioh: Nightmare Troubador, that it was scary.
put a cigarrette in your mouth, carry a rolled up porno magazine in your hand, down five shots of wildd turkey (for that mature swagger), and glue your id to your forehead then youll look grown-up
I hear you too GatorDeb. Guess it takes an older person to understand what you mean by your thread. Think will get a PSP in the future but for home use only and the Touch publicly/home. For me, in MOST cases it would be out of the norm to use a PSP/DS in public. I'm referring to a more mature setting/environment (as the thread suggests) by the way. Some people may try to put on this facade frame of mind that it won't bother them but the TRUE reality is it would be hard to play while (older/mature) people scope you out, form opinions or comments about or to you. I believe you just CAN'T ignore that unless you are a real total nerd. Scenario: Face 2 inches from the screen and acting all anti-social....sorry but that's not me. I've seen actual situations where people ruin your game play when using a PSP/DS while out in public so I'll use what's socially excepted so I can continue my game play (try not to use tilt games too much).
I have a Nintendo DS but stopped playing. Not because the iPod Touch came to my life, because it didn't really matter to me anymore. Then I got the iPod Touch and now I've been thinking about selling my Nintendo DS and all my games. But with the new DSi coming out.... I'll have trouble selling the FIRST Nintendo ds... D: I'm 14. And I wouldn't want to pull out a Nintendo DS from my pocket and start playing it. It'll seem like I'm nerdy. But taking an iPod Touch... People don't think of it as a gaming device. So you wont look to nerdy. I try to avoid tilting games on buses. But at school tilting and stuff is fine.
Of course "tilting and stuff" is fine. Whip it out and you'll have at least 10 sets of eyes following the screen. Oooooooo, scooooooooops. At my school, games are pretty much the major reason to get a touch, along with internet. All the other ipods have music and video already.
Pretty much at every school games are the reason people are buying them. Music and videos is last on the list of why to buy.
I had a DSlite once, but i sold it pretty soon. I was so completely unsatisfied with the games it was not even funny anymore. Sure there are great games on the DS and i'd always prefer the DS over a PSP, but having to see the 100th clone of a Pony game or Brainchallenge just really p****d me of at some point. In general when i see people with Handhelds i'm not going for cool/uncool. If i see a PSP i pity the fool and if i see a DS i mostly try to get a glimpse on the screen/s to see if that someone is actually playing something decent or if he/she is just one of those Brainchallenge casualties...
I think PSPs look cool... PSP doesn't have as many games as DS. Not many good ones, but the ones that are, they're fun. The screen is gorgeous too.
I am a game addict, i have nearly every console up to date Nintendo DS, the games on the handheld is great, some better then others but even if you were 17 and had a DS, its absolutely fine, its just a console. It has hardcore games and casual games so everyone can play it, that is what nintendo wanted, and in my opinion they got it pretty well. Sony PSP however, did not get recognised very well, and there is only one simple fact about it. GAMES, most of the games were specifically aimed at teenagers. There were no 'child' games that children could play, which was why it was not recognised. I rest my case
lol i dont think most chicks like guys that play video games a lot, because they want to be focused on. well, anyway my girlfriend hates it when we're out and i pull my iPod Touch out to kill a few enemies in Shooter or blow up some tanks in Vector Tanks
I kind of stress a bit when I'm playing DS in public, mostly because I have a Phat DS and not a lite. The Phat version looks like a kid's toy (not that I don't love it) but the lite is passable. As for PSP, I'd never take mine out of the house because it's freaking made of glass. I once dropped my perfect condition PSP three feet, onto super-squishy carpet, and now it makes a tiny continuous squeeeeeeeeeek whenever it's charging. Phat DS may look childish, but it is built like a TANK.
