If this is the same as the pc game then it is definitely worth the money. Just because we are playing on a smaller device that doesn't warrant such a discount, yes, I believe the lack of a physical "disc" should mean a discount but we cannot demand a £4.99 price tag (or less in some cases) for a fully fledged pc/console game. The previous 2015 edition cost less because it is a lesser game with fewer features etc but if this is the "full" experience then it is worth every penny. If it were on a Xbox then it would be £40 at least for the same content...... We have not seen many fully fledged pc/console games on iOS so I am excited for this........ "If" indeed it is the full pc feature list. I haven't played the pc version this year as I don't play much on my Mac these days but if anyone can compare then great.
Click on the link there http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/133484-football-manager-classic-2015-for-ipad-and-android-finally-adds-the-3d-match-engine I would screen shot and put image on here but it keeps crashing
I'd like to think this is in response to the posts by myself and other like minded people in the FM handheld thread who told the guy from SEGA/SI that they had to stop assuming people with iPads didn't want the full FM experience. I am overjoyed that this has come about. Literally cannot wait to install this. Expensive night for me if this does come at midnight since I just bought Implosion too. PREMIUM GAMING ON iOS ... I love it!!!
If the light version is on iPhone... Why not this version, as it's mainly just more of same, with extra options and a match engine... Which can be done on iphone6
Too bad it can't be played on an iPhone 6 and 6+. I'd probably get it again (have it on Mac and the FMH iOS version already). Maybe when I upgrade my iPad after these iPad 2s die, then I'll grab this. But until then, I'm satisfied with the Handheld version. BUT, hopefully this will stop the complaining from those who have been wanting a 3D match engine. Didn't think they'd bring it to iOS for a while, but kudos to them! Just wish I could play it on an iPhone.
There is SO much more to this than just a 3D match engine. There's proper scouting, there's media interaction, there's proper player interaction (fining for lack of discipline), actual tactics (man marking for example, which you can't do on handheld edition). This is the real game, not just the handheld one with a 3D match engine.
I'd really like to get this but one thing is stopping me... I fear there will be a 2016 version in about 6 months time that will obviously be better. I know it's an annual title but releasing it now in April seems a bit like cash-grabbing to me. Sales on iOS is difficult enough to achieve but charging that sort of money once a year isn't going to help. It would be better to have one title and then perhaps update it every year and charge IAP to have the latest rosters etc. Not being able to upload the real club logos is a deal breaker for me too.
Surely do able on a iphone6. The extra stuff can use same font n format size as the light one couldn't it? And 3d match engine... There's footy games that use 3d engine that is better than this. I'd be happy with just 3d match highlights on iphone6
And now I feel worse about having a really old iPad. Man, I want this more now. But I guess having it on my Mac is still nice, just not as convenient. Maybe by next season we'll see both as universal apps. And then I'll end up buying both and the Mac version, even though I barely have time to devote to one of them!
Is the logo thing a problem only through iTunes? If you're jailbroken could you upload them? On the Handheld version I've uploaded both ways before. Why wouldn't they allow it for this version? Bummer if you can't though.
