I like the update so far, and the games are a lot more closer in score than they used to be. Just a couple of observations... - It's much harder to sack a QB. - It's more difficult to block a field goal. - I've only run back one kickoff for a TD so far. - The clock doesn't run until the kick returner gets the ball (yeah!). There are probably other things, but I can't remember right now. In regards to retired players, does anyone know if their sell value goes down once they're officially retired? Or, would it be better to sell them before that happens if you have a replacement?
Thanks for checking out the update! Yeah lots of tweaks to the AI this year to make the game more fun/challenging. Please send notes on the AI and I will try and fix everything I can. After players retire they are worth less Hero Coins when you sell them. If a player is retiring (has games left until retired), you can still sell them for full value.
That sounds bad. It takes such long time to get to the max and only 10 games/ And if we do not loose him, what is he? old slow bench player? And what happened to multi player mode?
When a player retires fully, his stats are reduced by 30% and his special abilities are removed. Unfortunately while rewriting the network code to make Online Multiplayer work without massive amounts of lag we introduced lots of bugs into Wi-Fi and Bluetooth MP. We are actively working on and update that will include both Online and Local Multiplayer that will be coming soon. I am more disappointed than anyone that we do not have local Multiplayer in 2015, I play it with my friends all the time. We just could not release it because of bugs and random crashes. Sorry
Retirements Marzola, While most of us players can appreciate that your team is encouraging us to use a wide variety of cards, your current retirement system punishes loyal fans who have spent time playing your game and building their team. Once a player hits their max, they only get 10 games before they lose their stats. Even Peyton Manning has been at his best longer than that. I think all of us fans and customers would appreciate a system that rewards our play and willingness to use new player cards than a system that punishes and forces us to change it up. The final thing is this: your team has done an incredible job of making new updates, and unfortunately this roll out of the retirement system blemishes this release, which can be seen on the boards and in my personal experience. I really hope your team can address this
I might have to agree with everyone about the retirement. About a year ago I recommended you add stats to each character card, as a way to grow an "attachment to them". Show how many sacks / tackles / etc. they get so you can keep stat records. I remember you liked the idea but obviously its never been implemented. Now with retirement in place, the stats are almost something to not even consider since you wouldn't be using the players too long. Sadly it's a bit unfortunate it turned out that way.
MMarzola, I wanted to ask you 2 things. One is a suggestion and the other i need some help. 1, the game uses a lot battery. If I play a full game it takes anywhere between 7-10% battery. Its almost 1% per minute on my iPhone 5. This has been true on 2 iPhone 5's of mine (old and replacement from Apple). Any chance your team is working on "optimizing" the gameplay to get better battery life in the future. As it stands I cant risk playing when I'm out and about. 2, the game is now constantly crashing on me. Not during play, only after I close the app and come back to it later. Even if i only take 10 seconds and don't do anything else on my iPhone. This happens everytime now, my iphones crash lods are full of football heroes logs. I tried the unload on minimize and reset database options and that didnt help me. Any ideas I can try? Edit: i found that if I turn airplane mode on, it will not crash.
i not gone though the whole thread when i answer this and this is just my humble view. Nothing lasts forever, yes i agree it sucks that you get a star player that then retires from the game, yet its "emulating" american football star players do retire they cant keep going on remember Dan Mario GB rated at the time one of the best. You could argue its good for new players, like myself who have just found this game and are starting out, we wont have to spend money to get a star team cause everyone else is maxed out, it keeps the game always moving with big teams having reform themselves as players they once relied on moving on. One suggestion i would like to add, there is a option to remind you of the controls when controlling your players
Fix for GAME CRASHING ON RESUME We have seen this bug a couple of times now. We are not sure how this is happening, but this is something that we have fixed for other players. Steps: 1 - leave me a message here with your GameCenter account so I can verify you are backed up on the Run Games Cloud 2 - After we have verified you have properly backed up your data continue to next step 3 - Delete Football Heroes 2015 and Football Heroes HD from your device 4 - Re-Download Football Heroes 2015 5 - Your account should resume and the issue should not reproduce itself Installing the new version of Football Heroes 2015 (v1.5) ontop of Football Heroes (v1.4) seems to be causing this issue We tested this during development but we never ran into this bug. Not sure how this is happening. Sorry for the inconvenience, hopefully we can figure this out and squash this bug.
Thank you, message sent. Since were talking bugs, here are a couple not so critical ones I've seen. 1, when subbing a player, the player going out has the wrong stats. They are lower stats. They may be the players starting stats, not certain. 2, occasionally when I get a defensive counter, the play ends immediatly and we move on to the next down. 3, old one...a delay of game causes a loss of down as well.
Thanks for the feedback! I am interested in this idea, but I am not sure what you mean by this. Could you go into more detail please? Thank You
I'm yelling at the game a lot more since the update in a good way (I think). The AI is much more challenging. Finally saw a gold player in the draft, and I think he was over $10,000 to buy. That's a lot of grinding, or I may invest in one of the new decks. This update is just in time for ArenaBowl XXVII on Saturday. My Football Heroes team (with borrowed logo) is named after the local Cleveland Gladiators, which are playing the Arizona Rattlers for the championship! It's not the Super Bowl, but we take what we can get here.
Battery usage I know, this is a giant bummer! I hate this too, but we are not sure how to reduce Battery drain. Does anyone have any experience with this?
1 - It is comparing the players starting stats and not the leveled up stats. 2 - Could you go into more details on this one? We have never seen this bug and would love to find a way to reproduce and fix this one. 3 - This is intentional. This was implemented for Online and Local Multiplayer to keep players from being able to just get continual Delay of game penalties to get the other player to rage quit. During playtesting we had a couple players do this when they were losing (Jerks!). Honestly this makes less sense now that Online Multiplayer or Local MP is temporarily disabled. We should probably look into implementing separate logic for MP vs Singleplayer.
1, yes for the "out" player. But the "in" players stats are the full current stats. At least they are on my version. 2, i'm not sure how to reproduce. It just happens for me in suddent death sometimes. I pretty much always pick the last pass play defense and sometimes it flashes defensive counter and the whistle blows immediatly as the qb is dropping back. 3, i see. thats actually a really good idea. I think in madden on line if you delay of game 3 times in a row, you automatically quit and the opponent gets the W.
Coin battles We implemented Coin Battles this year to give experienced players a challenge. And by including wagers, we hoped that this game mode would be more exciting. Do you like this mode? How can we make this better? Thanks
I think we should be able to go for a two point conversion instead of always going for an extra point. We should have a choice like in the NFL
I like it. Its a good way to supplement coin earnings after you finish the cups. It would probably make for a good multiplayer mode as well. For local, maybe you can include a $500 challenge that is even harder, something really challenging even if your team is stacked.
Absolutely! This is something that is on my pile of shame to do. Thinking of implementing it like this: 1 - score a touchdown 2 - interface pops up like 4th Down, two buttons: Kick Xtra Point and Go for Two 3 - if you select Xtra point it will transition as it does now to kick it. If you select Go for Two the playbook will pop up.
Coin Battle is my favorite mode in Football Heroes, it seems to always provide a good challenge. Some of the most fun games I have played in FBH has been against your Cloud teams in Coin Battle. For sure, this should be a great MP mode! Do not think we can do Local only Online for this mode because people will just cheese this mode playing against themselves for the free coins.
