Here's the "new" iTouch/Phone news, people:

Slight redesign of existing hardware, better battery life.

    There.

    There's your "new" iTouch/Phone news.

Anyone expecting any more than that just doesn't understand how Apple operates. The platform was just released about 2 years ago. The App Store (a big money earner for Apple) just over a year ago. The manufacturing costs are going down for them all the time. They'll milk the current hardware (by which I mean type of internal components) for quite a while longer.

The 3.0 update to the software, however...they might have one or two more secrets up their sleeves.

    Big news would be this:

Apple Macbook/iPod touch tablet. Apple's grand entrance into the netbook arena...with something that isn't a netbook at all.

And something less likely (far less likely), but that I hope happens (because, honestly, it should've happened a while back):

Apple TV 3.0 - They release an SDK for Apple TV, will open up a section of the App Store dedicated to Apple TV devices only.

To coincide with that: Apple Remote 2.0, a new remote for Apple TV (and Macs) that has a touch screen and built in accelerometer, same as iTouch/Phone. It is not, however, iTouch/Phone hardware. It's just a remote...but one that allows for touch controls and motion sensing, which, when added into the SDK, should make for some really killer Apps. The new remote will be offered for sale soon, and will be packed in with Apple TV hardware from here on out.

Pipe dream, I know...but damn it...Apple should do that.

    Holy S***!

Snow Leopard upgrade from Leopard for only $29!

I never thought Apple would do something like that.

That alone made my day so far.

    :D

Oh great. I hope future games don't abuse this. (By abuse, say selling a game for $10 but its actually an incomplete game, you can pay $$$ to purchase the rest of the game).

I know everyone here is probably wired to the OS 3.0 announcements but, the upgrades to the MacBook Pro line also deserve some mentioning.

Yea same here that's whjat I'm worried about to. I dont mind paying for DLC but when you pay 2 bucks for a game with nothing in it but you have to pay 5+ doallrs to get some of the game or the whole game is what will make me mad. Take BIA or HoS for example they are finished games. But Gameloft coudl easyly make more money buy charging for extra levels (like 3 or a dollar etc...) thats what I rathjer have happen. imo
