Looks like hmm that console called a 'Wii' graphics! edit: after looking at it again, not really but looks like mario kart!
Sweet! Another simple game too add to my adrenaline folder. Any ETA on the release date? Or the price point?
Here's a short demo of FMX Riders with TV output support using Apple's component cable: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel ETA is sometime in november Trailer is still coming!
That's probaly the field of view widening when using boost. I bet that won't affect you as much when you actually press the boost button yourself ... Otherwise I might have to rename the studio to Motion Sickness Games
How did you control in the demo? Tilt or touch? Game looks good, I didn't experience any motion sickness. I am hoping you are able to race against other AI opponents as well (multiplay??).
Both: tilt to turn, touch to trick There is the option to touch to turn (full touch controls). Of course there are 5 riders races, you'll see those in the trailer. Multiplayer races are limited to 2 players at the moment, but I'll try to upgrade to 5 players races in an update.
Just received this little baby. The game outputs at 800x600 with no frame drops whatsoever. I wish I had a video projector right now
I think the game looks really fun. I have a physics question for you: it looks like the bike really never gets higher than the top of the ramp from the video I watched. The bikes and riders I see on the X Games get twice as high as the ramps. Do you have any video from the side that shows the trajectory the bike takes as it leaves any given ramp? I know that speed, angle and height of the ramp have a bunch to do with it, but I think the game would have a much bigger feel if your bike went higher in the air than what I am seeing. Thanks in advance for your comments.
That's a very good question. We're clearly not going for realistic physics as you remarked. It's a mix of BMX/FMX, where you can pull impossible tricks such as front flips and 720's. The ramps in the video are not too high nor too steep, definitely smaller than your typical Big Air ramp. The reason for this is not slowing too much the riders who choose to take jumps in race mode. Each track was balanced to be as much fun as possible in every mode. There are bigger ramps in other tracks though, and a Big Air dedicated track might be coming down the road.
