Ultimately it is your choice, yet you asked. It seems desperate... The price has been all over the board & Floris is always on this forum under price drops and freebies. It gives the wrong impression. Take Cavern for example, that game hit the App Store ages ago & is now just seeing success after years of further development as well as the newest update. My 2 cents are to keep the next price change until you get a new update & then make it free to celebrate the upgrades. Create buzz through the changes your making & your desire for community involvement. Start a different thread where people can assist in Floris' success thus giving them ownership of your game... On a personal note, I wish hard work & good intentions were enough to be successful.
Thank you @gquiler for your insightful advice and comments. I don't want to appear desperate - that's not the way I feel at all. As @Nightc1 and I discussed there are very clear ways of making Floris a better game - and until I fix that through hard work there is no reason for me to feel discouraged. But he reality is just that I'd rather have lots of people download the game and get to enjoy it than I would make 70 cents per day. So to me it's kinda like - if the game isn't selling why not make it free? I'm a generous person by nature and probably shouldn't be the one handling the business component of my software I think that the target audience for this game is HUGE - albeit definitely on the more intelligent end of the spectrum. But I'm also afraid that exposing a less than perfect product to the demographic that will only download things for free could have negative consequences. Like if I make it free and also haven't done enough to communicate the game mechanics I'm likely to receive negative reviews and ultimately hurt Floris' potential... From people that got it for free!!! The price tomorrow will either be $1.99 or free. Regardless Weds it will be $1.99, and like you said, stay there until I implement the additional features. And like it or not - these features will definitely contain IAP so I can monetize a free product. I'm not gonna do ads - I think that is sleazy. Thanks for your help - I really do listen and appreciate all the comments.

I just don't like to buy games like this without seeing it in action first. Maybe Sanuku would make you a video. (not sure I spelled his name right) I am very impressed with the gameplay of this, it only took me a few rounds in song mode to score 500k+, I was quite proud when I figured out how to get bigger scores. The music and sound are quite superb in this, too, very soothing, and great sound quality. I left a review on iTunes, hope it helps in some small way, I think this game deserves peoples' attention, it's going to be a daily player for me for awhile, that's for sure. Good luck, and thanks for the surprisingly good freebie of the week! (yeah, it's only Tuesday, but I'm going to call it now) TheCurrentGamer Well-Known Member Jul 16, 2010 87 0 0 http://www.thecurrentgamer.com #27 TheCurrentGamer, May 14, 2013 You don't seem to know how the App Store economy works. The people that butch about a game being discounted or made free after they purchase are a TINY minority. They may be vocal, bug only to a small extent. Getting your game in as many devices as possible, as fast as possible is the name of the game. If it takes a few price adjustments, so be it. Worrying about a few petty penny pinchers does no good. I`ve said before that it`s a bummer that you buy a game and see it for free the next day, but at the same time I said that some guys here act like they got raped and pillaged. They are indeed in the minority but sure are very loud. Haters gonna hate, just keep spreading your love and good luck with your game bro. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
