I got this game and my quick impression is that it's ok. Terrain looks good although extruded map geometry looks odd(shore lines), controls are standard. Aircraft selection is good. UI animation is slow. It's an ok flight sim that needs work. I am also playing Aerofly2 and it's an all around better experience. Aircraft interiors are very detailed(I like flying 1st person). Sound is nice. Terrain detail isn't as good as Flight Unlimited but ok, I still havent played a FS with great close range terrain, always landing in a field of blurry texture. The overall experience of flying is better. Has a lengthy tutorial which isn't bad. I'm playing on an iPadAir2.
Forgot to mention; it would be great to have the option NOT to use my iPad in the steering of the planes, but an on-screen option to do so. Thanks
We'll certainly include virtual controls in an update. We have a slew of missions planned in the coming month. If you have any mission ideas that you'd like to see implemented please let us know.
Sounds good. I'm no pilot, but I think it la common knowledge that's a pilots biggest foe is weather (okay, and terrorists). It would be really cool to have a "Can you fly from SFO - LAX" on time - through a thunderstorm/other weather entity. When you're on time, you get bonus points that can be accrued and saves towards the purchase of unlocking a new plane/airport? Or on a smaller scale, can you fly from San Jose to John Wayne (Long Beach) on time during a loss of hydraulics/weather anomaly/ill passenger/etc ON-TIME? Thoughts?
Good news, the next update will allow the game to run on older 512mb ram devices. It turns out a 512mb device can only handle about 200mb of ram in the game. We have a special compatibility mode setting that will automatically trigger if a 512mb device is detected. We're hard at work on the campaign for the game, it's pretty awesome
So, I just purchased Aerofly 2. While it has its flaws, the graphics and physics are just amazing. It's a little disconcerting how similar these two titles are. Not to be a douche, but it really seems as if you implemented many things from their game into yours. Not sure if that's a good thing..
We're almost ready for the major update with the campaign mode. I'll have some screen shots for you tomorrow. If you have mission ideas please don't hesitate to post them. We're always looking for ideas. Thanks
The mega update is a few weeks away. We're taking our time with this one. We're looking for a few people to test what we currently have. Here's the mission list for the first campaign. 1) Land a 747 in an emergency scenario with your engines on fire 2) Land a Cessna on the Golden Gate Bridge 3) A surveillance mission over the Switzerland mountains in a B2 bomber 4) You are tasked with taking off at SFO in a LearJet and landing at Moffet Field. You will then take off in your F18 and land on an aircraft carrier in the San Francisco Bay. 5) A surveillance mission in which you scout out Alcatraz in order to gather reconnaissance data for a prisoner extraction mission. 6) We've configured an Ultralight with a remote control system. You must land the Ultralight on Alcatraz at night. Once landed, the prisoner will hop in the Ultralight and you will take control to fly him across the bay. If you're interested in testing prior to release please let us know. Thanks
Hello. I am very interested in testing your latest build. I have an iPhone 6S and an iPad Air 2 (both running 9.2.1). I have beta'd several other titles in the past, so I am well aware of how things are. I will PM you right now...
How mega is the mega update exactly? Are there also graphical updates and fixes to the engine itself? What about flight control and handling fine tuning?
We're on track to have the update ready for release on Monday. We've spent the past 4 months working on this update. - Campaign mode with a series of missions. Land a 747 with engine trouble. Rescue an asset from Alcatraz. Land on an aircraft carrier. etc. - New Scenery - Las Vegas - New Jet engine and afterburner effects - New physics for each plane - Sensitivity control to change the sensitivity of the accelerometer - 5 new aircraft IAP's (747, F-22, Motor Hang Glider, C130 Hercules, B2 Stealth Bomber)

Flight Unlimited fans, we can really use your help. If you've played the latest update can you please let us know what your requests are for the next update. Both in terms of new missions, scenery, and aircraft. We heavily rely on feedback from Touch Arcade users to improve our titles. Many of the ideas that were presented in the forum we've already implemented into the game. Thanks so much, Todd
