We just started using Twitter- I know, I'm a noob. I decided to use this new medium to not only promote our game, but other developer games as well. I think a lot of developers are not getting the exposure they need and I would like to help as much as possible. Please follow us @FlickittyiPhone, and tweet 'Follow @FlickittyiPhone for a chance to win a Flickitty Promo Code'. I am following as many devs as possible in order to retweet their news. And finally, I would like to suggest following @TinManGames for a chance to win FrootTrees Halloween and make FrootTrees FREE. I would tweet it, but my followers already have this news.
Followed and tweeted! Already following TinManGames (Yay, Frootrees! ) IMHO Twitter has been great for catching updates from devs, good for announcements, not so good for messaging (you can't direct message someone unless they are following you...)
Depending on how many followers we have, we may distribute codes on a daily basis when our Promo Codes are renewed.
@KyleKissinger is the first to win a Promo Code. Not sure if he is from this board or not. Another code will be given away soon.
I didn't even realize you had a Twitter. I just followed you, although I'm not doing it for a code because I already bought it the first day it came out
That's okay, you'll get news of the updates plus info about other indie developers. Since you already own Flickitty, you will be the first to get the Elite Hat. Only current owners of 1.03 will get the Elite Hat that will make its first appearance in 1.04. In 1.05, the Elite Hat will have a purpose. Wow, thats confusing.
Great idea! I try to follow as many devs as possible to see what they are up to. So I can help promote their work on my twitter feed and website. Are you making a list on twitter that others could follow with these devs?
Sadly, I just started using Twitter, so I am figuring out how it works. If I can figure out a list, i'll do that. I will retweet or even tweet my own personal recommendations when I find something entertaining. The whole twitter thing is cool, cuz now I can just look up a dev and check out their product immediately (assuming they have a free version).
