Has anyone caught the new fish yet?

I have been stuck on the #12 riverside big fish quest. I have gotten the trophy and others after that but the old man keeps saying "Some of the bigger fish in the river are actually in the middle of the river, so dont always cast so far. Make sure you win us that Riverside Big Fish tournament trophy!" I have won it several times now and nothing changes. Any suggestions?

Yea, i have the same question. why are they SOO strong? i was finishing my last cast in a big fish competition, thinking i got something big because it was out at like 500 ft, and it turned out to be a sea bass lol. talk about disapointment.

Ive done all the quests for the old fisherman and i have the lucky charm and strong line. Im now trying to catch all the "named fish". So far i have caught old mog and fat bob and im now trying to catch the fish in river. The named fish in the river is a pike.

can someone please tell me what bait to use to catch pike and what is the middle of the river?

ps. i caught the first 2 "named fish" in Xtreme mode.

ok ive been on step 12 foreverrrr. i have won the riverside trophy like 5 times and the old guy keeps saying the same thing!!! And i won the trophy in Normal mode, not in Xtreme...

 

Have you won the Riverside Big Fish trophy vs the CPU (not the Big Catch trophy)? Also make sure you don't pause mid competition.

 

ohhhh dangg im retarded ive been winning the big catch all this time. sorry for waisting ur time.

i got the golden lure but how do you use it?
and where do you catch the monster fish? in extreme or normal?

 

any mode they are bigger in extreme

I was also wondering what all the fish are and where they are (including private beach) because I'm missing two or three fish that are not the boss ones.

 

i won the river big fish contest before i started the quest and then i reached it when the captain asked me to do so. so i won it again but it didnt register for some reason, anyone have this problem..what should i do?

 

I am at the swordfish quest part but it's killing me fast! I just cannot catch any swordfish abv 600lbs those i caught are all below that!! Pls help!!! and...I also have diff throwing the rope to 210 ft, any suggestions as it seems really random

 

Make sure you win it vs CPU in normal mode (not eXtreme) and don't pause the game in the middle of the competition.

 

I was playing the last level and the computer caught a 1000 lb fish. How am I supposed to beat that?

 

next time, get a fish that weighs over 9,000 lbs
