Red Snapper is the rarest fish to catch... i caught him in Breakwater and i used Sand Eels i think...

definitely. time to recharge my iPhone again before fishing for remaining monster fish :D

Smiling Inigo is probably named after Inigo Montoya of The Princess Bride... right, Zwilnik? :)

Spot on, although when you caught him, were you doing it left handed? ;)

I've caught him loads of times with sand eels, i'm using sand eels to catch mullets but the red snapper keeps popping up.

No doubt when i need to catch the red snapper i won't be able to.

    - precise timing when you HOOK the fish
    - STOP or HOLD the reel if the fish is fighting
    - pull in the rod by TILTING the iPhone towards you (this may not be necessary but it works for me sometimes - do NOT reel if you attempt to do this)
    - let go of the reel if the fishing line is ABOUT to break
    - reel in SLOWLY if possible.. this may weaken the fish (Gums or Carpo Marx may not be affected - they are DAMN strong fighters)
    - choose the RIGHT bait
    - collect 2 separate POWERUPS from the Quest mode (stronger line and golden lure charm)
    - and... PATIENCE.

i know this may be difficult for you or anyone to catch them, so i am gonna reveal which bait i used to catch the monster fish...

    Old Bog - Old Pond <Bait Fish>
Fat Bob - Lake Shiny <Lure>
Gums - By the River <Lure>
    Big Red - Breakwater <Bait Fish>
Hank Marlin - Blue Deeps <Lure>
Smiling Inigo - Waves of Doom <Squid>
    Carpo Marx - Shiny Night <Luncheon Meat>

i caught all of them in Normal mode, not in Extreme mode.

    hope this helps.

No to contradict you, but this is a question to either Zwilnik or Hippieman, I thought that the prefered food for Swordfish was the lure and the Marlin was Squid? I may be wrong, but idk.

Nope, (had to double check as I always get them crossed over myself), Sea Lure for the Marlin and Squid for the Swordfish. Sailfish like squid too, so cast long to try and tempt the Swordfish.

Yea. I kinda figured that out myself. But yea. I beat all of the quests/missions and now am trying to catch all of the monster fish..

    Bream - 10.27 Lbs
    Wahoo (yipee) - 219.50 Lbs

DO EXTREME AREAS MAKE CATCHING MONSTER FISH MORE COMMON?
Also, I doing quest, and I don't know what the fisherman wants me to do... he just say Squid are good for swordfish in the Big Fish Tournament...so I went to Stormy place and won Big Fish Tournament ... twice... and he doesn't say anything different...what is he wanting me to do?

Also, how in the heck are you supposed to catch Carpo? I got him down to min. energy and he won't come any closer to boat...i go 300ft out then he pulls out to 360 and I get to 300 again...back to 360...IMPOSSIBLE
