From the video it seems like you have no control over the fielding besides what base you want to throw to. Do you get to control the fielders to move under a pop fly, in front of a grounder, etc?
You can't run the fielders around but are required to help them catch the ball for some hits as well as get it to the appropriate bases (trying for double and triple plays.) And there's still things like pitching and managing/picking off runners that you need to keep an eye on as well. We also don't limit which base you can throw to so it's possible for you to throw to the wrong base and let a runner score so some strategy is required when fielding the ball correctly (as it is in real life.) We considered allowing users to control a fielder running around the field but the controls on the small iPhone screen just never felt right; and when asked what part of baseball games people liked the least fielding constantly came up as #1. Once you play the game I think you'll find that the amount of control is really rather deep.
Should be only 1 day left to wait through as long as it's already been approved and waiting for Sunday night. I feel like I have been waiting around for a yeay and a half for this one. Hope it's worth the wait.
They announced just the other day that it would be available on may 3rd, that wouldn't be able to say that if it wasn't already approved
Errr I was expecting a post from I'm No Superman this morning saying it was released in NZ by now!!!! (if indeed the May 3rd release day is true!) Freeverse's website has this game's status as available on the App Store - so it can't be very long now!
If it's supposed to be out May 3rd, maybe it'll be a midnight release. That's what Tapulous did with Riddim Ribbon
any update? can you add an RPG part to the game in a future update, kind of like a RTTS type thing, like b-ball Super stars?
If it was to release on May 3rd, it would have shown up in the NZ store already. Probably not approved yet.
Precisely why I was puzzled this morning not to see a post from you. I guess I thought May 3rd was a firm release date. I overlooked the word "should" apparently in that post!
