So wait...does that rule out June?!? Everything I ever read said the game was to release in June. This summer is very vague - You might as well say TBA 2009 Sorry to be a grouch about it, but I wish developers would stop spitting out release estimates that they can't meet. I would be perfectly fine if it was always said to launch sometime this year...from the beginning. There is a lot that goes into developing games and I understand that it sometimes is unpredictable to foresee issues / problems.

Awesome! While I'm waiting for this, is there another baseball game you guys would recommend? Baseball Slugger looks great but it is not a fully featured baseball game or is it?

these couldn't be the graphics they're releasing. If they are then all this time freeverse was wasting their time.
The design looks good. I'm sure they're gonna add facial details and stuff like they did to their basketball app. Animations for the characters should be added and will most likely be added. Pretty sure Freeverse knows what they're doing.

I'm sure that's the case with the video. But having said that, I probably would've buried that video. You definitely don't want any misconceptions out there before a release. Yeah, the video looks awful.
Well, I had high hopes for this game, but it looks really disappointing. It seems like it's essentially been abandoned by Freeverse, and maybe that's a good thing. I really would like a great baseball sim, but there just isn't one with the complete package out there yet.
They haven't abandoned it as it is at the forefront of their release schedule. Freeverse is tying for a late June or more likely July release. If it is anything like the SNES title Baseball Stars it should be fun.
This is exactly why game companies hate showing stuff off early. So much changes so fast, it's impossible stay in sync. Baseball is plowing ahead nicely. That video was missing so much, from the correct 3D models to the uniforms, etc... But people wouldn't believe us when we said we were working on it. We would get accused daily of lying that we were working on it. So in a gesture of good faith, we showed that the game was heavily being worked on. Expect to see a lot more as the game moves into Beta and all the assets are final.
