Maybe the best flappy since SF 2 flappy (I so miss that game lol). But actually nice graphics. The charters are fun. It’s works nice. Has a cool feature where you can practice flapping on a blank screen with no obstacles. As far as flappy they did a great job. Having fun with it and I’ll buy the no adds to support. Although the practice should not be on a black screen, just an environment without obstacles... you got a black screen you say? elcrazy Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2017 704 558 93 #4 elcrazy, Aug 2, 2021 Sorry it needs an edit. I meant blank screen that was a typo. Should have also worded it better. I’ll change that now . I just purchased the no adds to support. It is fun. Although I’m not very good . Still trying to get past the first level. I can get 3 stars and 18 gates is my high. But I can’t hit 4 stars yet . I do think you would have been better off with a name like Flappy Islands or Flappy Friends or something without flappy even. I fear people may be done with flappy clones. Specially with just another direct animal name. I could be soooo wrong. You may have a ton of downloads. I just see it so quiet in here and I wonder if something as small as the name is holding some back. Even though this is far superior to any flappy I have played. Even possibly the original. "Flappy Frog" was not the best name looking back. The idea was to make a series of games that are familiar (either classics from the 80s or 90s or more modern games) but with a twist or some extra game mechanics and then just high production values (good graphics and music and all that). But like you say; people have probably seen to many 'flappy' games come by by now. Well, we'll see... It's only been out for a short while, might yet get some traction. Thanks for the support! elcrazy likes this. elcrazy Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2017 704 558 93 #8 elcrazy, Aug 3, 2021 Played a bunch last night. I do really like it. Love the graphics btw and the color schemes. Unlocked purple for the first level and it’s so nice. Its also cool that color change makes the level a bit different. New stars and seems harder. Also finally got 4 stars and bought the next island. Soooo hard. I do hope this gets traction. It really is the best flappy game. Question for ya, is each island endless ? Four stars is just to show you got that far ? Then go as far as you can thing ? Or is there an end to each level ? Either way it’s great. Just curious lol. Before that, every star increases the points you get per obstacle, and obstacles start 'easy' and get a little more difficult. Have you practiced glide a bit? (The tap-hold while falling). It really is the key to the 2nd stage and up (with all the moving obstacles). elcrazy Well-Known Member Sep 19, 2017 704 558 93 #10 elcrazy, Aug 3, 2021 Ok that’s exactly how I thought it worked. And I like that you get the stars and don’t have to collect them lol. Ya I tried it. And practiced it. And I’m not good at it. The idea is: "flap" - very easy and basic, but very plain in how you can move with it, and "glide" - more difficult to master, but allows for much more dynamic game-play.
