I was wondering the same. In calculating the gains from the split-stat tasks during brewing (Mashing & Boiling, Fermenting), are some stats weighted more heavily than others, or does it just use the composite score of both?

EDIT: To speak to the craft stat, though, is easy: Check it

    Help!

    Hello,

Absolutely loving the game and have made some good staedy progress.

I am trying to brew Fiz right now. I completed the Banshees tears task but somehow, seem to have lost them from my ingredients list.

I've tried completing the task again to no avail - is there anything I can do to game this, or am I doomed forever, like the banshee?

    thanks

TRB4, thanks very much for posting that, and thanks ejongsma for clearing up the 50% chance to add 25% yield special!

    mattjair,

This is a bug that is fixed in the next update, which I'm still working on! In the meantime I have a promo code you can redeem for a replacement Banshee's Tears, so no doom for you! I'll PM it over now. Sorry for the trouble.

First off I would like to acknowledge how much I love this game. Its a wonderful piece of work.

Second I have a small, yet probably unintelligible, question. What do the costumes do or are they for a visual aspect only?

I have the Kwizo croc suit and its funny I just dont know if there's any relation to it and quality or quantity at all.

Hey KhaoticBeast, thanks for playing! Glad you enjoy it.

The Outfits are purely cosmetic. They just change the appearance of your employees and have no other effects.

Thank you seandanger i appreciate the reply. And I can't wait to finish my first play through. Its a wonderful game. I would like to see a multiplayer mode where you can team up with friends and try to build the best brewery together.

i am trying to understand pricing, and the competition etc

    I have a beer (pils), quality 908
At the market, the shop has pricing
    low 66 average 91 high 110
    Compition has quality
    low 665 average 751 high 845

So i would think that this means my beer is the highest quality available and therefore i could sell it at the high price.
But if i do i sell none at all ?
And even i price it at 80, it sells very slowly, with people complaining its expensive, and to high a markup. Even though the price is lower than the average, and how would a customer know what my markup is ?, he would just go by the price.

Can someone explain the logic behind this please?

I'm also confused on that as well if my beer is the best and I price it high why do people not buy it?

Hey Soup (and Markku), please read this page for a more thorough explanation of how to interpret research, and how customers behave:

    https://bitbybitstudios.freshdesk.com/solution/categories/145349/folders/239148/articles/175453-customer-research-and-markup-explained

In short, the low, average, and high prices aren't recommended prices, they are the lowest, average, and highest amount of coins a customer was carrying when you performed your research. It establishes a range of how much money customers will have when they shop at that marketplace. The link above describes it all in detail. Hope that helps!

    Lumber Jacked

I am absolutely loving this game, I work for a brewery so it's even more interesting! However, I cannot for the life of me figure out what kind of beer the lumberjack wants! Have been sitting on that event the whole game (I'm 1 ingredient away from brewing Fiz) and I have no ideas, and only 1 more chance. Would love some hints or insights.

    Thanks!

    Hey maryberry,

He wants a beer with an earthy or woodsy flavor. When you tap View on a Recipe in the Brew Menu, its effects are shown in the bottom left area as a scrolling list. Special Flavors for beers (if it has any) are listed there, so look for a Recipe with that type of flavor listed there.

And if you want the answer, you can view this spoiler below:

    Red Keep IRA

    Hope that helps!

Uptodate version - still crashes on Banshee tears.

There is still something not quite right with the pricing / markup, its not a problem and i have got used to it.
But either my competition, have incredibly cheap production costs, or somewhere there is a mistake.
Example i have a higher quality, cheap production costs (10), use the same markup as the lowest competition and sell none.
Having now played a while, i know where my pricing should be, but it is a bit weird

As explained amply in this thread, assuming you are selling a type of beer the customers want, you also have to make sure your markup is not out of line with your competitors.

I'm selling the drink they want for less then the low rating, am I missing something?
I read the guide again and here is what I got from it,

when you research a store, it shows how much the customer has on them and shows what drink they want, I see the competitor selling a drink for more then me with a less quality rating. Now here is where it gets very confusing.

I put a drink on the menu that they want and it blows the high quality away of any competitor, so jack up the price then sell nothing, so I go to average sell nothing, then I go to low barley sell anything, then i go to lower then low sell some, not much and complaint its priced to high. The thing that really bothers me is I have been following customer research early game and doing find now buying these bigger market places this problem has all started

I'm sorry but i'm not stupid but this is killing the game for me, is the mechanic broke or do I not understand? Please help until then I can't enjoy the game.

The markup is what you need to look at, not the price. If your markup is 10x and your competitors is 1.1x then people will avoid your beer.

Did you research the maximum number of people? You have a choice of three options when you research - I can't remember what the numbers are, but if you choose the maximum number of people (50 people?) you'll get a more accurate result.
